In general, I like trance, but I couldn't give you any particular artists that I listen to. I've just heard random songs that people say fit the genre "trance," and I've enjoyed them.

Its extremely hard to find, but if you ever get the chance, get "Three Mile Highland" by Trinity Sight. Not only did ADV use it for the ADV DVD Ad Campaign, but I used it for my Voyager Series Finale music video, creating quite possibly one of the few watchable forms of Voyager.

Daft Punk Is not A "Trance Group" More of a Electric underground beatbox group. So Is Chemical Brothers, but they are good too.

Sophie Elies Bextor Is Pop Dance :p

    Dune is Progressiv Rave :)

Trance and techno are two different things koge :p ;)

Just Like Rock And Heavy Metal.

More Songs that IS true Trance: :D

Max B. Grant - Hey Dj (Goliath Rymth Remix)

    Phasio - Every damn song

Barthezz - On the move & Infected

Earthbound - One Nation Trance Nation

PPK - ResRuction (Oakenfold SpaceShuttle Remix)

PPK - Reload (Starshine Remix) or Just (Radio Edit:D)

Paul Van Dyke - For An Angel (Orignal Version)

Flip & Fill - Shooting Star....(Kinda Raveish, but meh still good :D)

riggggght.....since I seem to know nothing, I believe I shall stay out of this ..........not. ^^ What's the diff between trance and techno anyhow? I always thought they were basically the same thing. I think it's in the eye of the beholder what your definition of techno is Teddz, tbh. Anything with that electric bass-ey sound methinks. ^^

The difference is that...from my point of view.
Trance has more "Progressiv tunes" than Techno. Cause Some trance they don't "Sing" while in Techno for exampel--> Scooter, they sing constantly while in Trance they go "Mars Need Women" like twice in the song, than the beats pump like crazy :D. But really, Techno is the "grandfather" of electric music style. Trance is like a "improved version" of Techno, cause there is like "techno remix etc etc." While In Trance there are like "Goa Trance, Euphophic Trance, Progressiv Trance etc etc..."

Electric music by artists like Fatboy Slim and Chemcial Brothers uses different samples to create their own beat, while in trance and techno the artists make their own beats.

Though generally I have no interest in electronic music and tend to avoid it like the plague, whether you like it or not musical sub genres aren't in the eye of the beholder. There are always differences whether they be subtile or obvious.

Okay, touche. You're quite right. I'm not a huge expert on this stuff, and I never claimed to be, but at the time of writing that I was thinking that people...well, the way they thought of trance and techno could be their own definition. I can't really explain, bah. Anyway, you're right, there are always differences between musical genres however small. Tis what makes people enjoy or hate any type of music, ne?
