Transformers Transformers... hum....

They should never show that show again. It is is evil. It is the worst show ever (not encluding pokemon). It should die. Oh yeah and who ever made it should be burned and then brought back to life and then stoned to death repeat if needed.

 

I take it your only exposure is to the new shows.

 

um... yeah... pretty much... the person who made them was on something.

 

Well the original was good. Clearly it wasnt a *mature* show, but it wasnt kiddified with sugary sweetness.

But Beast Wars was *great*.

So, really, if you want GOOD TF, go for the original, and Beast Wars.

Beast Wars especially.

I have to say that the new transformer show, presumably you're talking about 'armada' is quite appalling, the storyline is totally inferior to the original transformers series in which I have to say is still by far one of the best cartoon series up to date. The armada series has hardly any transformers and those annoying kids are there to screw up the story because they always need to be saved. And whats up with those gay minicons, they're an absolute disgrace.

Hey Inuyasha_iscool you should watch the original transformers and believe me it's a worth while series and the moive of it which is pretty impressive as well. The drawings may be old but it's way better than armada

 

In times of crappy Transformers, Im glad I have the new comics in physical form, and every one of the original TF comics on CD-ROM (except for the TF/GI JOE crossover...).

True, the comics, early on, had just as many stupid things... like in issue 3, Spiderman is there, and he actually saves one of the Autobots from falling with his webs. Spiderman is sooooooo damn strong! But the reason those bizarre things happened is because they didnt think the comic would last, so it was a combo of two things
1) A way to boost sales.
2) Some fun the writers were having.
Eventually the line caught on and the stories got much better.

 

yeah I hear that Japan had an animated Beast Wars movie. Imagine a Japanese animated series of Beast Wars. I like a little bit of RID and I haven't seen Armada yet, It probably sucks anyway

 

Havent seen Armada so I cant comment. Everything I've heard so far though is bad.
The original Transformers is superb. Yes it was like a 30 minute advertisement in some ways but it's a great cartoon too.
tbh I see it through rose tinted glasses because I used to love it when it first came out and since I've started getting the dvds it's just a lot of nostalga(sp?).
Anyway check out the original stuff and stay away from Generation 2 .

 

I have to repeat this, coz I've seen more of transformers: Armada.

That's a very immature attitude. But I must agree that Armada sucks. Read the comics and buy the toys instead. The comics by Dreamwave have some of the best art I've ever seen.

 

Yes, and the storyline was primo material as well.

Actually if you can still find them, the original comics rocked. I have nearly all of them on cd... I think the only one Im missing is the Transformers/GI Joe crossover.

Excuse me but it's really immature to use the word "gay" as a put-down. Although I do admit that Transformers cartoons were better off when they were animated in North America. But it's really thick-headed to use the word "gay" when you want to make fun of something.
