So the word on the street is there may be a Transformer generation one movie coming out.. As well there is all kinds of new comics of transformers coming out...

Transformer is not american.. its actulay ANIme.. But it was one fo the first anime that came to america. I think the company that made G.I.JOE had the rights to this cartoon... but it is actualy an anime..

Transformers is American.
It was devised in the US, all the companys who backed it to begin with were American. The designs were American, the writers were American.

The only anime relationship the original series had was that Toei did the actual animation.
The TF series after it finished in the US are another thing altogether, they were Japanese. The Japanese designs are distinctive and a bit crap generally.

There have been rumours about a TF movie for a while now since popularity is pretty high with all the DVD's, comics etc. being released. A lot of the fans of the show when it originally came out have grown up and are rediscovering one of their fav. childhood shows, this is where the popularity is IMO.
None of the kids seem to show any interest in TF RID or any of the new TF shows.

One thing here is a fact though, Hasbro has sold the rights to a TF movie.

One thing not mentioned here is that many are saying the movie will be live action, not anime. This is just another rumour though.

Another thing is that a company called Blue Rez Media announced that they're going to recreate the original Transformers movie in CG, I'm unsure is this will be a fan made thing or what, it's quite unclear at present.

For anyone who doesn't know about it, there's a new TF show called Armada which will be showing on Cartoon Network soon (late August i believe), this is also being released by Dream Wave as a comic series.

 

In case ye don't know, those images KaMeKaZi has been posting are designs from Dream Waves Gen 1 TF comic.

I'm thinking about getting a few of them from the US as the style seems pretty cool and the preview pages they put online were great.

Diablo, Toei may have done the movie, probably did, but I don't think they did the animation on the original series. I think it was Sunbow. If Toei did it then why do all the artists have Spanish names?

I have two Starscreams. I painted red eyes on one of them and placed the stickers like they are in the cartoon. Me baaaad collector.

 

Transformers is on fox kids .But i still think it is aigght i really dont like it that much. But it is okay my FAv Character is optimist prime he is the best fighter out of all of em i think ^_^

 

the Original Transformer Num Nuts.. the one on Fox kids is some new gay version!.

The fox version does suck ***, and so does those other 3-d transformers. The original is the best.

They're gonna air this new transformer on toonami. It's called Transformer Armada (Just in case you didn't know)

wow, didnt know they were gonna show TF:armada on cartoon network...that kicks ***...and is armada gonna have the same characters as G1?? if it was said before, sorry...and the comics kick ***, got the special holofoil number 1 and am collecting all the decepticon covers...

 

I just checked out a clip from Armada...it looks just like that pile of arse Car Robots. Designs are pretty bad and the story doesn't sound great either

Was hoping for something cool but I guess Transformers series these days can't match the good ol' 80's stuff.

Oh well, at least I have a copy of the TF:MasterForce TV series on the way
