I have been having some trouble with uploading pics onto angelfire, and M2A. Not that i cant do it or have and diffculty doing it. But once i upload them their quality is always lowered drasticly, and the once fine and clear image become blurry. Is there someway to avoid this? What am i doing wrong?

-It does not happen with my scanned pics, only with my cged pics or of pics originally from the internet that i have saved to my computer and wish to upload for further purposes.

I would like to upload a pic to but everytime i do the pic is way more then 100KB. I have a scanned pic but is a .bpm file, i want to convert it to a .jpg file cause i think those files are smaller. Can anyone tell me how to do so?

if you have windows 2000 or XP, dunno if Me has it, go to MSPaint, open the BMP file, click on FILE > SAVE AS, select JPEG on the file type rename and save :)

Does this effect the quality of the picture? I mean, if you uploaded more than you shoud it wont show up..

And WinXP has MSPain as well, so I'd say pretty much the same steps :)

Well thats the problem. . .if its over the limit when you upload the image, it looses its quality cuz they are compacting the image to make it fit to their standered i believe.

Is their anyprogram or way that you can compress files but keep it somewhat clean? So that the pic is not over the limit.
