I know I read it somewhere but I wasn't bothered! Or I just was enjoying a wonderful time of peace and tranquility than to take precautions. Basically I'm an idiot!
My computer automatically shutdowns while I'm in the middle of my work! My operating system is windows XP. I was starting up windows media player to watch some anime, when all of a sudden, the saving settings and shutdown screen appears! :anger2:

Does anybody know how to prevent that? Is it the evil work of a worm or virus?

    Am I doomed?

    1) Try changing the Control Panel/Power Management function "Turn off monitor" to "Never". This kicks in and can cuase problems for some users who use programs that idle the system, such as watching media would.

    2) Check your power cables both outside and inside your case. Loose cables can be bothersome and cause unexpected restarts if kicked or jostled.

    3) Random crashes and reboots can be related to memory access violation errors. Grabbed the following tip from the unnofficial Blizzard FAQ, but it applies to computer users in general:

    I concur in
1 check power settings at the control
2 get a virus scan, bought or the one ARK mentionned
