Well if they do show Crest of the Stars I would recommend anyone that has not seen this make the effort and go along to watch this.

It is definitely one of the better animes of recent years. It is in one word, flawless!

I'm new here in the forums, but I'm one of Slydice's friends in Maynooth (and also helping to organise the Anime on July 13th).

I just want to clear up we are NOT showing a Crest of the Stars movie. We are showing the Crest of the Stars series followed by an undecided movie (if we have time at end of the day).

Currently this movie is could range from anything from Princess Mononoke to Akira. We'll probably be choosing it on the day of the anime.

I don't think I will be able to go, as much as I want to see Crest of the Stars. You see, I will probably be in Waterford >_<

Still, who do I have to talk to for suggestions on what they could show?

BAD NEWS, i'm afraid,

because of a load of foreign students having summer camp here, we don't seem to be able to book a classhall to show the anime in.

If the situation changes I'll let you know but for now it looks like the event is put back indefinitly

 

those foreign bastards.. coming over here, taking our classrooms..

I could bring the computer upstairs and if I can get myhands on a tv out card, then we could watch the anime on the big tv upstairs, and use the surround sound on my comp

You live in Carlow, right? Do trains go there? And how long would it take to get there from the city centre? And was the invitation a serious offer?

you can get a train to carlow.. bu ti ain't in carlow
i'm in castledermot, it's the first town before carlow , and it's on the main dublin road
you can get a bus with bus eireann, (at busarus) or a kavanaghs bus from er.. i think georgeys key.. opposite the customs house
