Anime Vampire Hunter D Blood Lust

What a movie it was... Love it! Does anyone like Vampire Hunter D Blood Lust? And if so who is your favorite charictor (besides D)? Mine is Meir.

 

I have the DVD, I really loved it, I always loved Vampire related movies and such. D was an excellent character, but even if I could, I wouldn't choose him as my favorite, and although Meier Link is a close runner up, he doesn't fit the position either. Shame, I don't know the fellow's name, I couldn't catch the names of the other three villains, though I really did like the shadow villain.

 

Oh I know who you are talking about but I don't know his name either. I am a vampire fan so most of my favorite charictors are vampires... D and Meier seem to be even right know. lol. I lovethe plot its so sad and romantic.

I loved Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, but hated the first one, it was a waste of money, and time watching it.

 

I love the first one... Not as much as the second but I still liked it.

 

they are both good .. but the second one is better..

 

Bloodlust kicks all kind of ***. I haven't seen the first one yet but I'm pretty much finished downloading it, just the end credits to go. But Bloodlust, it rules, it's one of my favourite films ever. Just so you know, that shadow guy was called Bengey(not surer about the spelling though). I liked all the charaters in it almost, because all the ideas for them were so damn cool. Especialy that other hunter, the one who took thedrugs and his specter came out and shot **** up. That was cool. But what a damn good film. The only character I don't really like is whasherface, the one with the gun, because she only kills like one zombie in the entire film and her gun is kind of crappy. Also I don't like her haircut. All the other hunters really rock though. Damn good film. And all the bad guys. Man it's such a damn good film. Damn good. Damn...

 

The girls name was... Awww... Memory fading... Anyway she hated D but she really liked him... I know who you are talking about. She is pretty cool to me anyway.

This was one of the best Animes ive ever seen. The animation was superb, the atmosphere, dark, the tone, badass; all in all, this is an instant classic.

The best character was, as always, D's hand.

"You're not bad, you just dress that way."

 

now all they need to do is translate the novels to english so the rest of the world who cant read Japanese can injoy the books..

The girls name was Leila Marcus. She was a badass. She and D's hand are my faves.

Bloodlust kicked ***!

First off, the movie rocked! And the music and animation were of the best I've heared and seen. The music fit so perfectly!

Second, the last line Lefthand says is, "You're not so bad, you just dress bad." (You were close enough, I just wanted to say it again. )

And Thirdly, Leila last name couldn't have been Marcus since she wasn't related to the others. I also thought she sucked.

My favorite character would have to be, besides the vampires D and Mier Link, Grove Marcus (the spirit guy, I felt so sorry for the guy) and Left Hand (Not at all what I had expected).

 

Heh this is one of my favorite anime movies. It contained story, characters, and blood. Of course you need blood dripping everywhere in a vampire movie right? Anyway I don't have a favorite character because I really liked them all. No matte how evil or good they may be. :0

While "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" isn't really among my favorite anime, as IMHO there are quite a lot of better anime (no offense meant), I still admit that it is quite a good anime. I don't like D himself much, however, partially because of his gloomy personality and partially because of suprising ease with which he defeats just everybody (IMHO is it just awfully boring). My favorite character is actually D's primary rival for the most of the movie - Meier Link. The second is Leila Marcus. Other then these two... it is actually hard to find well-developed characters in this movie...

 

I thought Bloodlust was a much better movie than the original, and a brilliant all round movie. It's an anime I'd actually go out of my way to buy if I had the cash (which I don't ).

I was however disappointed with a few pieces of the movie. First of Left Hand just seemed a lot crapper in this movie compared to the first. He isn't as evil and creepy which was what I thought made him cool in the first one.

Also, D comes across badly when he asks for more money to rescue the girl from Link. In the first movie, he hunts and kills vampires simply because thats what he likes to do, and also because he feels they're a pestilence that must be destroyed. He takes money for it simply so he can afford what he needs to get by. In the second he comes across as a bit of a money grubber which I didn't like.

Also, I've been told the movie was originally written in English, and that thats why all the dubbing in it is so good. Is this true?
