OOC: Battle System

Dear RPers,

Now that we are well into Vampire Reign, I think it's time to decide on a battle system.

I will post some basic ideas, but your input is welcome and pretty much necessary.

Okay, first off, we have the following:

-Free-Style Battle: In this system, the outcome is basically decided by the RPers themselves, either through PMs or in character. There are no rules here, except that you cannot make your bullet/weapon hit someone, you must attempt to hit them and let them decide if they are hit/injured or not. Of course, abuse of this privilege will result in editing and warnings.

-Turns Battle: In this system, the RPers are given an order, and for the duration of the battle, must attack in this order, giving everyone a fair chance to fight back.
There are different versions of this system. For example, the outcome here could be decided by the GameMaster or it could be decided before-hand, based on the number of turns that the battle will last. More on this later.

-D&D Battle: This is using the Dungeons&Dragons battle method. In this case, dice are needed and the amount of damage inflicted and the hit percentage is decided by the roll of a dice. Personally, I dislike this method, but this is why we are voting.

Please give us your input and suggestions and feel free to ask all questions about the battle system here.

 

I would prefer the free style, because the dungons and dragons would get complicated and I'm not the most patient one, and would go crazy not being able to post until it's my turn. Of course, this is only my opinion.

Lol.. i warned you i was hyper MT... but seriously i voted freestyle because yea basically the same reasons Kos put.

 

Okay, so far 7 of the 8 (approximate) active RPers have voted. Freestyle is in the lead. I'll leave it a little while longer then Kamui and I will make our final decision.
