Story:
In the year of 2067, after the sixth world war, the smoke of bombs from the wars has blacked out the entire sky. When darkness hit the city of Neo Takadai, it left it open to the threat it had feared lived under their streets for many years, vampires. What had once been a superstitious fairy-tale, had become a very real threat. With no good weapon to fight the immortal beasts, the human race fell to the Vampires. Humans became their slaves.

But their were two alliances who pushed themselves underground, the peaceful protesters of the "Shenjuki'' and the assassins of the "Yamamori". The Yamamori have created magic to combat the evil vampires, on each of the assassin's right hands, there is a cross branded into it. Each of their guns bullets holds a small sliver of wood shaped like a stake and have been coated in pure silver that pierces the vampires hearts when the bullet impacts.

In the Shenjuki, they have decided to send a young girl up to the top to see if she can find a way to destroy the vampires. Along the way, she meets six other people [They might be half-vampire, or not part of any clan/militant group (Ronin)]. Together, they must find a way to defeat the vampires or humanity's time on Earth is over.

 

The Story So Far...

This is a summary of the story up until this point. It will be updated regularly to make life easier for new RPers and people who need to check back for things.

The Story So Far...:

A stranger goes out looking for his target. A girl (Athena) screams for help in the dark. The girl is approached by another, a first one. He is called Leon. He kills her master, and then, two others appear (Darien and Vencil). One wishes to take her as his own, and the other just wishes to protect her.

Leon doesn't wish to hand over the girl, and Vencil would protect the girl as well. Leon takes Athena under his protection, and Darien wishes to fight him for her.

A gun is aimed at Darien's head, by the first stranger (Setsaki). He shoots, but Darien remains unharmed. The man says that his 'target' was behind Darien, and he was about to die. Who is Setsaki's target? Why does Darien want Athena?

Above the city, the Vampire King reigns (Darius). His horde is behind him, and they are ready to hunt. His second in command is a gutsy and beautiful vampire named Roneri. She is in the shadows.

Darien still wants Athena, Leon senses the Vampire King, and Setsaki is still ready to fight. Athena still can't help herself for the moment.

In a temple, a woman prays. She is Yamamorii. (Asu). She receives her assignment. Find Lord Darius and try to kill him. Are the Yamamorii Elders getting desperate?

Vencil continues to face off against Darius, questioning where his allegiances are. Darien makes another attempt to kidnap Athena, but Athena is not afraid to use the means at her disposal. Leon and Vencil stand aside, watching. Darien hands over Athena to Leon and leaves.

Darien heads to the rooftops and meets Darius, Lord of Darkness. He is impudent, but he soon learns his lesson. Darius allows him to join his hunting party, but then Darien tells of what has just occured.

Darius is trying to find Leon. Leon and Athena flee, Vencil stays to face the coming attackers. Leon and Athena hide in an alcove. Setsaki, away from all this, is preparing a special stake for his...uncle...Darius. Vencil bides his time, waiting to attack. Asu goes up to the surface.

Vencil attacks the Vampire King's horde, to distract them, he has told Leon and Athena to run as soon as he engages them. Athena trips and runs into a vampire not occupied by Vencil when she comes out to the surface. Darien takes hold of her, threatening to turn her if Leon makes a move. Leon surrenders to save Athena.

Roneri wonders if she should go to the one Darius was searching for. Setsaki is trying to find Darius. Roneri attacks Vencil. Asu uses a spell on all the Vampires present, a light rune that will tell her of their strengths. Athena tries to reason with Darien. When the light touches him, Darien is distracted and Athena escapes. Setsaki goes beyond the barrier of the great cloud in the sky, sending a stake to find Darius.

Vencil continues to attack. Asu meets up with Athena, and takes her to the Yamamorii headquarters. Athena tells Asu she must go back to up to the surface to find her friends. Leon disappears into the night. Asu tells Athena that a squad is already headed to the surface and vampires will be killed on sight. Roneri awaits orders from Darius. Darius tells his horde to retreat. Vencil is hit by a Yamamorii bullet. Leon wanders through the dark.

Roneri faces off against Setsaki. Athena assures Asu that she will return, and promises not to return to the fight. Leon feels faint and needs to rest. Asu agrees to go with Athena to her safe house.

Leon collapses in the middle of a street. Roneri returns to Darius' side. Vencil realizes that the bullet that hit him had magical properties, and will not heal. He is losing blood. Darius is on the scent, following the one who cast the light rune.

Setsaki returns to his house. Leon is awake and aware on the street, but unable to move. Athena finds Leon and takes him to her safe house. Setsaki cooks in his home. Athena drops and breaks a bowl, cutting herself. Leon drinks her blood, but stops himself. He is much restored by the blood. Athena's blood and Leon's mix, giving them telepathic abilities.

Roneri, Darien and Darius still follow the scent. Vencil follows the scent of Athena's spilt blood. Darius splits up his party, sending Roneri and Darien to find the Mage. Darius follows the girl and Leon. Vencil appears at Athena's door. Athena invites him in. Vencil prepares to bite her. Leon hits Vencil. In her struggle to free herself, Athena reopens her cut. Leon drinks her blood, draining her.

Athena faces eternal damnation as Leon realizes the only way to save her is to make a vampire. Athena is turned. In his home, Setsaki curses Leon as a fool. Roneri and Darien looks for the Yamamorii headquarters.

Since Athena's safe house no longer belongs to a human, Darius finds it and is able to enter. Leon has retreated to the furthest recesses of his mind, and is hallucinating about his past. Setsaki slips into Athena's home. Vencil self-petrifies to preserve his life. Athena moves to defend Leon from Darius, though she knows she will be unable to win.

Vencil, though self-petrified, is aware of what's happening. Leon kisses Athena, and this shocks him out of his torpor. Leon confronts Darius. Darius reminisces about his maker, and tells Leon that he knows what he wants. Meanwhile, outside, a girl (Rian) is drawn to Athena's house by the hostile energy. She shoots a ball of lighting energy in through the window.

Athena brings Vencil's statue to a safer place. Leon covers her. Athena decides to leave Leon for now, and to go train. Reina confronts Roneri and Darien, telling them to leave her alone. Roneri marvels at the fact that Reina is their only defence.

Leon calls Athena back, Athena comes back in through the door into her house, thinking that Leon will be there. The spell takes effect and the house is engulfed in light. Athena is knocked unconscious.

The Story Thus Far Part II

Here is the continuation of the original summary (see above):

Leon realizes what happens and appeals to Darius, saying he will do anything he wants if Darius will save Athena. Darien tells Roneri not to kill Reina, saying that they can use her to their advantage. Roneri tells Reina that she will take her to see her sister.

Darius brings Athena outside, then makes good on Leon's bargain, trying to run him through with Tuebor. Athena, with great effort, puts herself before the blade and the blade goes through her, barely missing her spinal cord.

Reina tells Roneri she can try to destroy her home, closes the door and proceeds to sneak out through a back way. Darien intercepts her. Reina says she will come quietly.

Athena tells Leon to run. Leon does not run, he curses Athena as a fool, picks her up and begins to leave. Rian intercepts him, and calls him a fool for turning his back on the Vampire King. Athena explains that Leon and Darius have a sort of understanding, and that Darius would not strike Leon while his back was turned. Leon looks for a place to go with Athena. Rian says she knows of a place where they can get help.

Darius returns to his headquarters, and sends messengers out all around the world to gather his army together.

A man (Raziel) appears in an alleyway close to Darien and Roneri. He overhears the messenger telling Darien that the Vampire King is gathering his army together, and decides to go to the King to prove himself worthy.

Roneri and Darien return to Headquarters with Reina. Leon accepts Rian's offer of help. Darius questions Roneri about who Reina is. Vencil explodes...Vencil is Dead.

Vencil's explosion rocks the city. Rian takes Leon down into the sewers with Athena. Raziel brings Roneri to safety. Darius is thrown from the building. Before falling, Darius tosses Reina to Roneri. Reina protects Darien by putting a forcefield around them.

In the sewers, Rian and Leon (and the unconscious Athena) meet a vampire man (Michael). Michael speaks with Leon. Athena awakes. Rian and Michael begin to fight. Rian bests Michael.

In a church, Setsaki remembers his past. He sees many things. Athena leaves to explore the labyrinth on her own. Roneri hides in the shadows with Raziel, watching for developments. Leon notices Roneri, but doesn't do anything as of yet except call Athena back. Setsaki is angered in the church, he continues to struggle with his emotions and past.

Darius is outside on the street, near unconscious, and injured. He remembers a bit of his past, in a heap of broken images. Raziel returns to the surface to examine things. Vencil's explosion has caused much damage. Raziel returns to the sewers. Athena finds her way to the city, and meets up with her sister and Darien. Darien asks her who turned her. Leon tells Roneri that he knows she is there with Raziel.

Athena returns to the catacombs with Reina. Darien goes down into the catacombs and goes in the opposite direction from them. Leon grapples with his own conflicting guilt and emotions. Reina hugs him and grants him forgiveness. Athena explains to all how it came about. Roneri speaks and finally comes out of the shadows.

Rian wishes to kill all who surround her, for they are corrupt. Michael says that by his code of honour, he must protect Rian and her "group". Athena speaks to Roneri and Reina, explaining even more, and delving into her past. She speaks of the night she was taken captive and enslaved.

Darien finds Darius. Rian tells Athena there can be no peace between humans and vampires. Raziel comes out of the shadows. Reina plans to leave with Athena, Rian and Leon. In some sort of weird ritual, Setsaki takes a strand of his hair and puts in on the altar of the church and leaves, but the spirits remain.

Darius, though injured, tells Darien that he is not. Darius tells Darien that they must go find some humans so that he might feed. Leon, Reina and Athena start to leave. Before leaving, Leon drops a small copper coin on the floor, as a token for Darius, promising that they will meet and fight.

Athena tells Leon she has a plan. Roneri makes a remark about humans being like insects, she tells Leon that she will see him later, and asks they others if they will run or stand and fight.

Leon separates from Athena and Reina to be the rear-guard, to insure their safety. Roneri and Raziel decide to go find Darius. Rian runs after Leon, Athena and Reina, and Michael follows.

A stranger (Luceid) reclines in an alley. All of a sudden, Leon looks up, and leaves the rest of the group. He goes to the surface and meets Luceid. Setsaki appears out of the shadows.

Michael ponders on whether or not they should follow Leon. Raziel and Roneri continue to look for Leon. Luceid, Setsaki and Leon begin to talk. Rian leaves Athena and Reina with a map, then arrives at the surface and watches those three.

Roneri is a bit miffed that she can't find Darius. Athena tells Rian and Michael that Leon wants to be left alone. Athena is weak and taking sick. Athena warns Leon that they are coming. Athena and Reina reach Rian's place of safety, and then Athena collapses. Reina runs off to find Leon. Michael returns to Athena, finds her collapsed, and realizes that she is changing, and thinks that they need Leon to help her. Leon muses. Setsaki talks about his experience in the Cathedral. Rian continues to listen in.

Luceid tells Leon he will not speak to him with Setsaki present. Leon tells everyone he wants to be alone with Luceid. Setsaki slides a small emblem marked with the Japanese character for Death into Leon's wrist. What is the meaning of this emblem? We can only guess. Reina watches all this unfold.

Luceid tells Leon that if he's still interested, to follow him. Athena sends Leon a last thought: protect Reina. Leon finds Reina and takes her with him to Luceid's loft. There, events begin to unfold. Michael catches up with Rian and asks her what happened. Rian tells Michael she thinks Leon is more than he seems to be, and curses him for not following her sooner. She asks him what happened to Athena.

Luceid tells Leon to tell him of his love. Leon tells Luceid his story. Athena loses the battle for her humanity, and decides to go find Darius. Michael explains about Athena and her humanity, and how Leon could probably help her.
