I wouldn't try and chase them at all. If the case in point is that there are more than one of them, you'll be outnumbered. Plus, these punks might have blades on 'em. Bad idea from the start. Go with the light, the camera, the dog, and maybe the paintball gun. Hey, those things sting, so if they know that the pain will be waiting for them, they'll stay away. Sick 'em boy.

 

Wow, if you litter, a cop sees you, and you don't do it here, you're under arrest for disobediance of law.

That's why you all need to make me bi-president (what a word! oO). I'll own US and Canada!Er...Save US and Canada!

cops Don't have time to chase down kids who Egg someones house.. So unless you can Catch the kid throwing a rock through your window.. like run him down and hold him till the cops come.. they can't do anything..

I know a lot of cops out there dont really give a hoot.. but the ones who do.. They can;t be there to arrest everyone who does something wrong..

Get a big Dog.. that normaly deters people from going around your house.

 

That, or learn from the experience. I reccomend an AK-47 Sniper Paintball gun. This sucker will take down anyone, just learn how to AIM it.

I remember some idiot trowing rocks in my house, so I shot him with a BB Gun, and now we're friends! Another problem solved by guns and violence!

Well we're really scared of dogs, and if you catch them in the process, just come outside and buff your stomach out and say " Im gonna KICK YOUR ***".. it works even on ME

 

I suppose the biggest plus right now, is that the park manager said if we do catch them, she'll evict their family from the park. They'll be told to take their mobile home and get the hell out.

The problem is the "if we catch them" part. Obviously it's quiet now, nobody's dumb enough to hit the same place twice in a couple of nights.

 

Hmmm... So you live in a trailer park? Wow, that changes things. Just tow their house away when they're not there! Problem solved, dump it in some river! Even though I know that you'll be the one getting in trouble, it would be the ultimate revenge. Seriously though, if you hide outside and watch them do it, after they're done, follow 'em home and find out where they live. It's really that easy.

 

WE have preety bad vandalism where I live. But latley it's been pumpkins, and spegetti squash. Witch have been missing from out garden....were growing the wepons to be used against us!

On vandilism in general, I beileve it shouldn't be 'mischeif' its destroying peoples propery for the fun of it, and harrasing ppl. I understand eggs and small squishy friut as mischief. But rocks and pumpkins?

Also Shijin - mobile homes, not trailers. You need a very large flatbed truck to move one of these. And I'm talking like, take-up-three-lanes-in-a-highway large.

See my personal opinion is that the FIRST time might have been mischief but after the second and etc times its VANDALISM. Good luck catching them.

I have an idea. Ask Kame to bring him and a few biker friends (if he knows any) have them carry chains and sit outside your porch for a few hours. Atleast until they get noticed. Say something they are waiting for the vandalists to come back.

How much is the cost of the damage?

 

Nothing's happened since the last one, they usually go quiet for awhile afterward. I should mention if I haven't already that this has gone on over a fairly long period of time... I forget exactly when the first time was.

As far as damage, well, replacing the windows will cost a few hundred each, I think. I'd hazard a guess around $800 at least, although I can't say I know window prices very well.

Anyway, KaMe would have to sit there for a few days before it made a difference, I think.

this is not just vandalism, it's destruction of private property, which is equivalent to stealing.

 

I would go with the paint ball idea! Thats what we do around here,but the people got smart and decided to shoot back at us so know that I think about it,that might not be a good idea. But luv weaver,he can't sue em if he dosen't know who they are. I would get a dog,a really big dog,it worked for my grand parents so why wouldn't it work for you.

 

Again there's the problem though of not knowing who they are. I don't even have a vague guess at this point, because there are a lot of people who could have done it, and that I've never seen them myself. My grandma says she saw a boy on our deck, looking through the bedroom window at her at one point, and that she'd recognize him in an instant, but we can't exactly trot every boy in the trailer park out just so she can pick one out.

And, considering how much time has passed since the last one, and how much time passes between them, typically, it's a waste of effort waiting for them because of the sheer amount of time I'd have to spend just sitting on watch.
