Okay, I don't know exactly how to describe my problem, but it seems to be with .ogm files that have subtitle/language/other options, and with some .avi files.

I was wondering what could be done about this? Neither WMP nor any of my other players will open the files, and WMP has an error that prevents opening.

I can see other .ogm files fine, as well as .avi files off of a disk, but it seems that whenever I get an .avi file off the internet, whether by download or from a friend, it's corrupted or something, because it won't play. Help, please.

Here is a screenshot, but it's not like, an .ogm specific error, I think.

That's really weird, and I assume you've got the whole file...

    Try VideoLAN. It might help...

I hate ogm files. but its odd you are having problems with your avi files. maybe let us know what shows they are? maybe someone here is having the same problem or has the file and can tell you what to do to view it properly.

I'm checking out VideoLAN right now, and I'll tell if it works, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'letting you know what shows they are'. The files that I was having trouble with were working fine for everyone else I know that had them.

I don't know if maybe something on my computer is corrupting them or what, because it isn't all .avi files.

Edit: VLC fixed all the problems! It plays the avi files and the .ogg files! Thanks Neph! WOW!
