    I always wanted every RPG to base boss stats on party level, ensuring a challenging fight no matter how high some muchkins train their characters. I find it really stupid to be able to walk through heavy hitters like they're not there, just because you spent hours gaining 80 levels. I'm very repetitive with this point, always bringing up Lunar, which does this very effectively.

    Sample Boss
    HP=500 x Total Party Level
    MP=25 x 1/2 Party Level
    Strength=5 x Twice Highest Character's Level in Party
    Speed=10 + Total Party Level

    You get the idea, slightly tougher for each level gained. The real reason I think most RPGs don't work this way, is because a lot of players resort to leveling in response to a tough boss - since most of the genre is linear, you can't move on until you finish the fight.
