Anime Video Game to Anime

Video games and animes, while seemingly interconnected, have had a pretty spotty past. No one doubts the many awful anime-to-video game conversions (Most recently, a Dragonball Z fighting game almost all critics frowned on), or the equally many awful video game-to-anime conversions (Including the most infamous one, the notoriously bad Tekken movie). Still, that doesn't stop people like me from thinking about great conversions.

So is there a video game you think would make a great anime movie/series, or an anime that could be made into a great video game?

As for my own ideas, I've got several. For the former, I think Chrono Trigger could be made into a fantastic anime series, as it has an easy to understand but still deep plot coupled with some of the greatest characters in video game history. For the latter, Capcom is the master of 2-D fighting games with huge combos and big explosions, so they could make a masterpiece out of Yu Yu Hakusho. Similarly, Namco has had incredible success with Soul Calibur, so it isn't a stretch to think they could do wonders with Rurouni Kenshin.

Other thoughts?

 

I would like to see Metal Gear Solid as an anime though, even if it is rather hard to make one. But for ideas, I believe DOA can pretty good, or maybe StarCraft

I downloaded a 5min movie which showed "Guilty Gear X" in Anime form but I don't know if this is an official thing or whatever but it could be a good anime

 

Dynasty Warriors would be a cool anime if they made it about Lu Bu. The giant battle scenes would probably be the most appealing to the action freaks who liked Ninja Scroll and the like.
I definitely have to agree on the Chrono Trigger thing, mostly just because I like Toriyama.
Chrono Cross would probably be cool too, but a lot of the characters would end up limited to one episode or less, since there's so many of them.
Mystical Ninja starring Goemon would have been a cool anime, but I hear the one they actually made was horrible.

 

HeavyPowerMetal, that movie you saw was included in the newest game in the series, Guilty Gear XX (Or X2, depending on where you live), and was intended to help newcomers see what had happened in the series so far.

I don't know about Chrono Cross as an anime. I mean, the game is great, but giving 44 heroes decent airtime would become a real balancing act, and could easily become extremely confusing.

Metal Gear would rock as a movie, though - The games are pretty short, so I'm not sure if it'd be that good as a series, but nothing would be better than a movie or OVA starring Solid Snake.

I think it would be cool if they made a "Parasite Eve" anime. I've played the game and beat it and I've got the movie and I loved it. Parasite Eve is one of my favorite video games but if they were to make an anime I think they should either use a new character or follow Aya around. I didn't play Parasite Eve II though...been dieing to for a long time though.

 

Metal Gear Solid would be great as anime. Although Konami has released games that have potential to be anime series. Like Policenauts, Snatcher, and Castlevania.

 

Peraonally, i think, Final Fantasy, Starcraft, Warcraft, and Skies Of Arcadia would make good animes, but that's just me.

 

Xenosaga would be immensly cool, but then again, with how long some of the cinematic scenes are, it practically already is one.

What was the plot behind Parastie Eve anyways? O_O I only played the sequel and stopped when i beated by that psycho freak on like the 'first level' or whatever. (yeah it's all silent as you wlaked on the top fo the building and then that screwball comes down and the scary demented music plays. ><)
