Voltron Voltron #1

I finally got around to picking up #1! The only complaint I have is the 10 pages of ads in the back of the book. The story ended just a little more than half-way through the book.

I love the continuity of having Hawkins getting the team together. That connection with the Vehicle Series is priceless. I hope we hear Pidge mention his brother Chip, also.

The animation and story were great. I like how the drawing of Voltron before his break-up show real hands and feet, with no lion heads. I can't remember if that's the way it was on the show, but this is a very logical move and one I appreciated.

Very interesting that horses on Arus don't have ears! Hey, you can't expect all life forms to be the same as they are on Earth. I'm glad the princesses are, though...if not better.

I believe Pidge saying, "she's beautiful" was a direct pull from what Pidge first said when he saw Allura in the TV series. Very cool.

I think Allura is really hot and sexy, but quite sophisticated at the same time. She's the whole package, and I'm really going to enjoy following her in this series. I also liked how she put Coran in his place.

I also didn't know that was Coran until Allura spoke to him.

I liked the ad (not one of the 10 I mentioned!) on the back cover. That is one cool shot of Green Lion's head. I really like how they show the mechanics of the vehicle inside the mouth. Very realistic!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR ISSUE #2!!!
