Issue #4 is out and i think now is a good time to start up some new threads for this forum.

What did you think of this issue??

I think the whole Sven sub-line is better than the way the cartoon removed him. It makes it seem like the Lions are choosing who they want as their pilots.

It makes the Lions more living than mechanical. I definatley like the new twist to this classic.

Issue #5

Hey Vic,

I picked up #5 yesterday, and like it very much. I feel a little rushed on how Voltron was formed for the first time and how fast it ended, but you only have so many pages in a comic, and so many issues in a mini-series. So that aside, I liked it a lot.

I, of course, have reservations on what happened to Sven. I didn't like that he wasn't part of Voltron forming for the first time. What really happened to him? Was that he simply wasn't compatible with the lion, that he doesn't fit in to calling Arus home (re: Keith's final comments in the issue), or was something deliberatly done to him? Dan Jolley promises a major twist at the end of Volume 2, Issue 1 in January (the start of a monthly, not another mini-series. Yea!! Keep buying those comics!), and to me the twist is going to be centered around three possibilities:

1. Vehicle Voltron

2. Gladiator Voltron

3. Sven

We know from this promo shot (http://www.devilsdue.net/VoltPrev/volt_vol2_01.jpg) that Vehicle Voltron will be part of the series, but see what it's doing to Black Lion? What's that about? We also know Gladiator Voltron will at least make an appearance. Will it have a major impact on the other two Voltron Forces? Will Sven go off to lead Gladiator Voltron? Could be, maybe not. We'll just have to see. Whatever the case, I'm certainly looking forward to it!

I liked this issue very much also. I like the way they tie in the Blue Lion choosing the princess as its rightful pilot.

Also, as a true fan, we know Sven is destined for a greater calling. I really feel the next few issues will explain more too us.
