Fruits Basket wanna get fb dvd but...

Okay! Well everybody I didn't know where else to put this so since it has to do with Fruits Basket why not this forum.Anyway to what I was gonna say. Okay I went to this site and i found the fruits basket dvd, actually 2. the first one had episodes 1-13 on it but the back cover has only pictures from the first 6 episodes. the first dvd says it's part one of the tv series. i wanna get it but the site, my brother says, doesn't seem official and i might get ripped off. the dvd costs $32.49-including the shipping and handling. but i dunno what to do. i can't e-mail them and i can't go to Q&A section because they say that it's not there. so i dunno. i'm kinda agreeing with my brother. Has any of you people ever heard of the site? i'd really like to know before ordering anything off there. the thing is they have a lot of things, dvds, artbooks, and so on. so i dunno. what do you people think? and have you heard of such a site or gone or bought something from it?

 

Definitely bootlegs, most likely Chinese ones. The official FUNimation release of Fruits Basket consists of four DVDs with six to seven episodes each on them. They're a bit pricey, but it's to be expected from something with that many episodes to it. I know you can buy the official releases at the Anime Corner Store. They're also going to be available at places like Amazon.com and Best Buy.

I'd never heard of the particular store you've been looking at, but I'd be leery of buying anything from them if you're going for licensed, legitimate merchandise. I checked some of the other titles I know are available in the US, and all of the ones I saw were bootlegs. I don't know about their other merchandise, but the DVDs are suspicious. Quick check on the CDs turned up what seem to be legitimate Japanese imports, so they've probably got a bunch of illegal, bootleg stuff and some legite stuff.

Easy way to tell a bootleg DVD: Region 0 encoding, availablity of Chinese subtitles, a large number of episodes per DVD.

I don't know how helpful this is exactly, but I hope it's somewhat informative.
