Welcoming the New: A Guide for Regular Posters

Now, i know you guys like welcoming everyone, but starting this year, every post from a non-mod will be either edited or deleted if it even references reading the rules and being good.

the mods are here for that. we are the voluntary den-mothers/fathers that dish out the bad stuff.

I am not happy seeing people be greeted with fearful posts telling the newbie to read the rules, as if we'll do horrible things to them involving a raw t-bone steak and a very upset badger. (kudos if you get that)
Now, i want everyone to be nice, greet in a friendly manner that isn't full of the fear of gestapo stealing your children. Be friendly and nice damnit, i mean, you guys are nice everywhere else. Be nice here too then.
