Wert Says: [Censored] THE MAN!!

That's right! Today is it. I have finally become fed up to the point of actually taking action.

Ever since I arrived at the ship life as been one ass hammering after another, after another, after another. The only drive that's been getting me through that was the false hope that down the line life was going to get better.

Boy was I wrong.

Time and time again we were subjected to the lies and hypocracies of our higher ups and time and time again we put up with it believing that in the end it would get better. Recently we've been hoping that our new RO would be a good guy, that he would be kind of man our old one was not. We awaited the day of his arrival with joy and what happened?

He took over.

For the next four weeks the rest of the ship, all 2000 of them, are on duty section only status- which means they only have to come in once every 5 days.

Reactor, on the other hand, has 3 section duty (come in for 24 hrs every three days), no guaranteed weekends (no sleeping in at all for the next 4 weeks, period the end), and full workdays the entire time.

Why? You might ask? We have no idea.

This is the straw that broke the camel's back. Well... not so much as straw as a lead weight.

Officially I am applying to change commands and get my happy butt back to the West Coast where I can live out my days going to sea again and not dealing with all the added BS the East Coast offers.

What that means is that I'm telling my Chain of Command that they are not in my best interests and that I want to leave as a result.

God help me, I need to go back where bosses actually look after thier workers. I miss that so much...
