What anime would be cool to see live action?
(Keep in mind, lots of money, awesome graphics, and great actors/actresses.)
I would love to see live action Gravitation :D
Even though I don't like Chobits, I think it could be cute live action.
Fruits Basket would also be cute to see live action.

Inuyasha or Naruto. Maybe even NGE. And... I so could go on and on.

Personally I would stay away from mecha anime because they nearly always look like crap in live action, and I am still dreading the live action NGE movie.

Anyway, Legend of Galactic Heroes could be done extremely well, although they'd have to use actually good CGI for the ships, because there are WAY too many to use real models (literally thousands at a time in a battle) and bad CGI can ruin a show. Another good one would be Perfect Blue.

The problem is that a lot of live action stuff seems to be very poorly done and/or cheaply made. A while back there was a live action Gundam and hooooo nelly was it awful. The mecha fights were decent, but it takes more than a nice looking fight to attract me.

There's gonna be a live version of Saikano airing in Japan soon. Aki Maeda, (Noriko in Battle Royale) is gonna play Chise.

It might be good, who knows.

I would have to say Inuyasha. I really like to see it in live action, but it might resolve to chaos. Who knows?

I would, for less violent action, say a romance like Marmalade Boy or something along those lines.

Yeah yeah I know, it's mecha. But I mean, it already has many game titles. We could focus on one of these stories and have a live action. After all, it's about political drama etc etc, and a few scenes of mech kick*** action :)

Other mech titles? I could suggest Robotech, but I don't want to ruin such an excellent series.

I'd Agree with Perfect Blue, Especially because From what I heard the Novel was an adaptation from an unused Hitchcock Script, obviousley unused in it time for a reason.

    Vampire Hunter "D"

Maybe Keanu Reeves would make a good performance of "D"

Trigun would be cool to watch. Besides, if its done right, the action parts would be preety sweet. That, or maybe Love Hina might be a treat to watch live action. Heh!

I think Hellsing would be a good live action. I've seen a couple of live actions and I really think they are awesome. They don't put down the anime at all. Casshern was amazing and Cutie Honey too. I also think turning a mecha anime would be a good idea. Weren't they making Evangelion a live action?

I've seen thuis on http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050111b.php, it seem to already have two strikes in my book
    1. Cameron Diaz is planned to be Gally/Alita I don't have anything against her personally but it just seem to be a bad casting choice for this movie.
    2. there going for a pg-13 rating by making the blood blue.

I agree, Hellsing would be great.. I think Rurouni Kenshin would be great as well. I wonder about Full Metal Alchemist.. I think it'll be a bit scary o.0

Ooh!! Ooh!! Detective Conan!!! :D I think it'll look like a mixture between "Se7en" & "The Bone Collector" ^^

I was thinking how awesome Thundercats would be LiveAction....I mean.....The nestalgia would keep me happy for years to come.

Then Hellsing and VHD come to mind. I would love to see who they would choose to play Alucard. But Keanu Reeves as D? I don't think so.....

As for Perfect Blue, I don't trust hollywood to do it justice. Lets keep is an anime, and Leave the Cham trio be...^^

Yeah I agree with Badluck. Gravitation would be cool to see in live action. ( Probably cause I am a BIG Gravitation fan :D ) I would also like to see Inuyasha live to. I love action anime. I have a lot of other ones but I don't want to type them down right now. :D

Actually, to be honest, I don't think any anime would be good to watch live action. They were animated when they were first created, and, I think, if I watched any anime I've already seen done in live action, it would just look... weird. I mean, what would it be, really? Just some cosplay re-enactment? I don't think it would be very good.

Besides that, who would make it? Hollywood? I'd really rather not see anything of that sort come from them. And besides, in live action, how would they manage some of the crazy stunts/effects they pull off with ease in anime? (ie. launching Hanagata into orbit) No, I think so many things that work in anime wouldn't work very well, if at all, in live action. Like facefaulting. It just wouldn't be the same.

Ehh, but maybe I'm just being picky. IF, and that's a big 'if,' they managed to do a good job of it, and not mess it up, which they would be almost certain of doing, I'd like to see Excel Saga in live action, just to see if they could pull it off. I mean, with all the crazy stunts they pull, it'd have to be one of the toughest ones to do, and if they succeeded, then I'd be willing to accept that they would manage with other (and better) anime series.
