I hear its not to shabby at detecting trojans, in fact. So, junk? No, and apparently easy to use. Another good one is Tauscan (also effective and good for n00bs) also TDS-3 is effective, but uses a lot of resources and not that user freindly.

And check out a newbie A-Squared, theres a free version which will scan and remove, but doesnt monitor.

Lots of hi-rep sites have reviewed and mentioned these, so I dont think there's fear of them being malware.

 

Ad-aware is excellent tool, i've used it on a lot of PCs to get rid of adware and spyware, but I'm assuming Project191 is talking about the sort of trojan that goes beyond what Ad-aware is intended to fix.

BTW a good tool is Hijackthis. It creates a report of potential spy and ad ware, browser hijackers etc on your system, and many expert forums will help you fix what it finds if you are having problems. You can post your hijackthis log on those boards, such as Spywareinfo.com.

Hijackthis is one of the best spy and adaware tools around. Spysweeper is one too.

it's just my computer staring to become slower than be4...and i was thinking maybe it's a spyware or Virus or Trojan.... and i have Ad-ware SE personal and Spy-bot search&destroy and AVG 7.0 free edition ..i ran them all, but still no viruses and no trojans...i remove all the ads but still i see my computer little have trouble with it's performance...so i thought it can be a trojan that my avg and ad-ware can't detect. My second thought is that i am lacking space on my C drive...
