Tenchi Muyo What happened??

    A while back Tenchi Muyo was on Cartoon Network,but it got cut off when Cartoon Network started Tenchi Universe.(which is my favorite Tenchi series)

    They cut off Tenchi Muyo when Lady Tokemi(spelled wrong)sent Dr.Clay(something like that)to get Washu.If you have seen the whole Tenchi Muyo series,I got a couple questions.....


    -Who is Lady Tokemi?(What was she?)
    What did she want with Washu?

    -Whats the deal with Ryoko's gems?(Its started talking about them but,as I said,this show got cut off)

    -Who is Lady Tokemi?(What was she?)
    What did she want with Washu?
    I'm can't help you with Lady Tokemi. The 2nd Tenchi OVA series ended a few episodes after Dr Clay's appearance and the questions about Lady Tokemi herself were never resolved. There are rumours (page bottom) although i can't vouch for them :)

    -Whats the deal with Ryoko's gems?
    Well in the final episode, Jurai's royal family pay Tenchi and Co. a visit! Yosho's mother, Funaho explains to Yosho the real reason for their visit. Apparently, the source of power for Ryoko's gems and Jurai's Royal trees stem from the same energy source. If the manufacturing process for the gems where to fall into the wrong hands (Dr Clay?) then Jurai would surely fall.

    I've haven't seen the 3rd OVA series which came out this year. The storyline focuses on a new character, so i'm not sure if the issue with Tokemi was ever resolved.

    So the episode when the Jurai royal family is the last in Tenchi Muyo,thats where Cartoon Network cut it off at.Guess that means they didnt cut it off.......



    That rumor sounds pretty logical though.

    Did they at least show the little thing at the end where Mihoshi is talking to Washu about taking Clay to the GXP while Ryoko is cruelly bound up in one of Washu's scanning machines?

    I think they got there.....Im not sure though,it has been a while since I saw it.....(I think they took the show off in 2000)

    Meh, no, YK... After all:

    1) That clip is all stills with voice (I doubt Toonami'd do that)
    2) Never been dubbed (Toonami don't sub)
    3) Very short (where would they stick it? After their "final" ep? During a commercial break?)

    Not that it presents too much more information...

    1stly it was dubbed but its the unfinished start to OVA 3 and is hidden footage on many of the Tenchi Muyo DVDS LDS and VHS. hence it was never shown on CN


    OVA3 coming in a year or 2 will explain tokami fully as the saga continues...
