Transformers What happens after the last transformers episode?

Is there a story after the last episode? which I believe is 'Headmasters'. Why did they stop it anyways? Tell me... tell me!

 

I think they tried to continue the story in the comics a bit before they hit the aire with Beast Wars.

Yeah... I read a bit of the comics and it's gone totally strange. Scorpinok was the new Decepticon leader and the Autobots were losing severely. There was a bit when Optimus Prime had to surrender himself (or was it the Matrix) to save the Autobots from defeat.... and all of the Autobots hated what he did. It was quite good, I wish they carried on the show
