Can someone please tell me just what romantic love is?

I know this may sound like a total dumbass question, but I'm serious- what is love and what does it feel like? (Note: I'm talking more romantic love over family love. I have a family and I love them... but I haven't any clue about romantic love...)

love love is merely a word in the human language I chose not to love because love has messed me up. I've felt love many times but when it is those who don't love you back that you go slowly into a spiral of depression hence me chooseing no longer to love and when I do love again I will make sure to tell you how it feels

 

Twenty years i've lived in this piece of rock and still haven't got a clue about that. Maybe i never will.

Someone described it something like this..you get all hot, hart pounding like hell, stomach twisting and a weird feeling..sounds like a fever to me

 

The superficial caring toward another that is the result of both a emotional and physical attraction or just ethier the former or latter.

love is a figment of one's imagination. it can be good or bad. can hurt or heal. it all depends on you and the one you love.

i think real love is indescribable... at least that seems to be the consesus ive heard. its just a feeling that you know to be true, but you cant describe it to anyone in words.
love is love basically one of those things you just cant explain ya know? wow that didnt help much did it?

 

Love isn't that great. I think it's a drug. You feel great at first... then you break down and your all upset.

 

love dosent have a meaning it just something thats there and it takes time to discover it not one of those little crushes that come and go.
love hurts horribly but it can heal all.

it really depends on the person. so for me its pretty hard to discribe
it kind of a mixed emotion thing. has a little bit of every thing.

Well................there's a difference between being in love and being in love because of infatuation. For me it happens too many times to count. It's frustrating, knowing that u can not have that person. Sure it feels nice for awhile, but then when the dream of being in love comes crashing in reality, it really is depressing. I tried sorting out my feelings and wondering between the two.

love is a word in the english language that is to put a name to an emotion that humans and other speices feel fer one another...It can be a good thing.....or it can screw your life royaly you never know... but its just an emotion with a name..thats all...you can control it...not the other way around...

Love is when God shoves his imaginary hand right into your chest and seizes your heart and proceeds to slowly and torturously squeeze and crush it, causing you to slowly suffocate and suffer until the day that he decides that his time playing with you is very well over and sends you to a horrific death alone.

At least, that's my opinion.

 

It seems like LOVe can be used to represent a happyness toward another that has grown past just friends, but most the time 2 people say their in love just to say that they have someone to hold ect. love to me is when both of the people know that they want to be together for the rest of their lives and seem to have no problems between them. They would do anything for that person evn if it takes their life.

Love is truely indescribable, its a masively complcated feeling that is both wonderful and terrible at the same time.

I think love would depend on the person...you can have a sortof ....violent love, where you fall quickly and passionately in love and think about that person all the time, day and night. You want to be a better person because of them, you appreciate life more because they're there to brighten your day. You feel as if that person is your other half.

Or I think there's gentle love...where it just sort of happens, and you don't realize it until it slaps you in the face and you go "oh my effing god, I didn't realize it!!!!!" (hehe). I don't know if it's entirely describable.....I believe it'd be different for each person. Just know that it can make you both insanely happy, or insanely down. Because that person's thoughts and opinions of you, and what you do, how you are-- matter, and if they do something to hurt you, or vice versa it sometimes hurts twenty times more than it would if say... your brother did it to you. Trusting the person you love with everything you have in you can have drawbacks. It's like walking outside in the cold in the daytime, naked. You strip yourself bare for that person and hope they'll love and accept you entirely, for who you are.
