Hellsing What is the writing on Alucards glove?

In the anime Hellsing, Alucard has those white gloves and on them there is writing and a pentagram. I have never been able to figure out what the writing says. Some of it looks like latin but i am not sure. Does anyone know what the writing says?

Anyway it also says in German at the bottom, "Gott Mit Uns."

'Gott Mit Uns' stands for 'God with us'

...at least that's what Altavista says. I know Gott is german for God (Mein Gott!- My God!), so I guess it's legit.

The rest of the writing looks like standard engrish. Seeing as he's British I'm surprised they didn't do a little better job with the english. Is the text along the outer rim of the pentagram Hebrew or Arabic of any kind? It doesn't look like anything I've ever seen before.

Hey Im a new member and i would like to ask about the language you found where is it used. Japan? I've never seen it before.

 

It's certainly not from Asia at all; the site says there's no known location of origin, but from the structure of it, I'd say it's from the Mediterranean area, as it bears similarities to Greek and Phoenecian.

well, if you want to know WHAT its used for, i think its to keep alucard under sir Integra's control. that's what my nephew told me and he's a fanatic when it comes to hellsing

 

Does the Hellsing Manga shed any light on this mystery at all? The Anime leaves us hanging but I know the manga is more complete and goes into greater detail. Anyone?
