animals that have silken-soft hair, nice smells, cute eyes, exuberance and playful and can eat anything!

Any monotreme is always fun. Of course, I think there's only two of those ... they're just great because they screw over everything we think we know about evolution.
Of course, the duckbilled platypus (not that there's another kind of platypus) has all the characteristics to be a vicious monster. Poison spurs, claws, teeth, a freakin' weird appearance ... if monstrosity isn't cool, what is?
Anyway, I still like hamsters better, but I thought I'd give my favourite monotreme some respect.

By the bye, a monotreme is a mammal that hatches from an egg.
