Anime What kind of anime Fan do you consider your self

This is kinda of spin-off of the Anime Genres thread but what kind of anime fan do you consider yourself

I consider myself a Mecha/Sci-Fi fan because that way things can happen in the future

Now state your answer.

 

I'm the random anime otaku.

 

I'd have to reply the same way as Yasuko. Random anime all the way.

But I do tend to prefer "random" anime... y'know, Excel Saga, Dragon Half, and the like.

 

Future/ deep Plot

I love futuristic animes. And i love a deep plot like in X/1999 which rules!!!

YES, but don't forget FLCL and all. I also like Haibane Renmei, which isn't really random, but it's weird and doesn't make sense.

 

Yes as you might know I hated X/1999 than I borrow it from Fuuma and I fell into a a state of non-hatered but I I didn't become obsessed (If you ever meet Fuuma in real life he strives to get everything X/1999) but if there is a right stuf sale on the series i might buy it but the only thing is that is has pretty boys
But it's not better than sliced bread. Nothing is better than sliced bread.

Since I am the Gundam evquivent of Fuuma i must get it all even though I relly don't like Wing because that has pretty people for the sake of pretty but X/1999 it makes more sense with them with the good animation.

It's all about what I'd call "extremely ****ed up ****". Excuse the language there. Things that mess with the mind are my favourite. Ninja Scroll, Ninja Resurrection, a few scenes from End of Evangelion, Battle Angel, .hack//sign ... anything with more internal than external plot. And of course the completely off-the-wall stuff like Excel Saga and Digi Charat. Now and then I like a light-hearted comedy like Love Hina as well ... Oh, and I prefer movies to series.

So, to answer the question, I'm the insane Space MedaOtaku X! Is that really an archetype?

I mostly like "Magical Girl" anime, that has both magic and humor. Like Sailor Moon, Magic Knight Rayearth, etc.. Also animes with amazing fighting scenes, like AirMaster. And mystery animes, like Tantei Gakuen Q.

I mostly like everything that has magic in it.. Take Slayers for example (I love that anime! XD)

Well, generalizing, I consider myself as a "Magical Girl" Otaku.

 

Hrm. Such a difficult question that sharply jabs at my brain cells!

I have to go with the general consenses fist off, and say - anything thats good.

Although i tend to lean towards anything that has top quality animation (verging on shoujo-kinda prettyness sometimes).
Soundtrack makes a lot of difference for me, personally, as well.
the FLCL soundtrack takes it for me. I love that series.

FLCL, .hack, Love Hina (mangas only), Excel Saga, Gundam Wing, Kenshin OAV`s. Honestly i have no idea how to class those collectively

 

i think i'm a random anime otaku. i like almost all anime genres but i seldom watch sentai and meccha. i mostly watch mahou shoujo,animes with deep plots and others...

I love futuristic sci fi. And really weird/off the wall kinda animes like Ninja Resurection. Anmd I know I didn't spell that right. I'm just to lazy to get off my big but, walk over to where I have some of the movies and see how it's spelled.

I was watching that movie with one of my friends and she had to walk out of the room saying that it was sick.

 

I consider myself an emotional and romantic fan. I usually don't like hollow megabattle shows like DB(ack!)Z, or those endless monster battles.

I like emotions, plots, feelings, things that make your heart throb when you watch them.

And so, I'm very selective with the Anime I watch.

 

Hm... this is hard, since I vary a lot. I like the really weird shows like Lain and Boogiepop Phantom, but I like fantasy stuff like Escaflowne, comedies and the occasional cheesecake comedy (Sorcerer Hunters... hehe), drama...

I guess I like a little bit of everything, but I lean more towards comedies and the bizarre.

 

I'm a fan of action and comedy animes.

 

Oops...how could I forget about comedy! I always love a good laugh. Well, I guess some off the wall animes could be considered comedy, right? Whatever, I need to go back to sleep or something. Or drink some coffee. Or, oh just nevermind.
