    I love the way Americans tend to know their pedigree!

    Australian, English born.

    A cousin once looked into our family tree and found that our ancestors were, with only one notable exception, thieving scum. They're all Anglo-Scottish border rievers, some English, some Scottish. My fathers name is quite rare, apparently because most of the line were tied together and thrown into the River Tyne by the authorities in the early 17th century.

    I'm... a little confusing. ^^ I'm born Puerto Rican. My father's side is French Jewish, the kind that were converted to Christianity and thus their decendants lost their Jewish-ness (until me, that is. :p) My mother's side is Spanish Jewish. My…great great great grandmother (tatarabuela in Spanish :p) came from Spain on a boat, fleeing persecution… but once again Jewish-ness was lost, until my mother and I. ^^

    So, all things considered, I'm really just Jewish. ^^;

    There. Wasn't that fun to read?? ^^;;

    Pedigree....you make it sound like you're describing animal breeding...please don't make them hostile! :p

    As for me, I'm Canadian born and bred. My historical roots trace into a mix of French, Belgian, and Dutch...there's a strange combo, ne?

    No Cacti in Canada

    I'm 50% Irish, 25% Italian and 25% "other".
    Add that up and you get 100% Canadian.

    Well, I must be the most mixed up person ever!

    My ancestry can be traced to Indian (Not from India, like from around here), german, irish, english, russian, viking...etc. Probably asian too, although
    I'm the only one who likes asian in my family.

    Wow! Everybody seems to know their pedigree! I didn't mean to be offensive, Bakamattsu, it was just a figure of speech. :p We don't like upsetting Americans over here either. Nice Americans, lovely Americans!:D

    My maternal grandfather looked like Gandhi, and nobody's ever told us what that was all about. I think the bloodstock in my family is mostly celtic/Danish, if you take it back far enough. Blondes, redheads, that kind of thing.
