Art What Programs You Use..

    Im an Art Newb.. and i used Open Canvas.. but.. expired.. and i only got to do.. ONE DRAWING.. which i'll post in the drawing.. part.. anyway. waht programs do you guys reccomend me, that i could, download from the net?

    Well i can paint anime characters.. original though.. i have then im my sketch book.. but since i dont have a scanner.. a friend of mine donates me his sketches for me to attempt to cg them.. or i get free sketches at BakaNeko.com

    And My dad has that program on a CD somewhere.. i can get it from him..

    I use an invention called... a pencil and my hand <eveyone arround me gasps>

    photoshops probably the best. but it's also the most expensive;) they're all pretty much the same as they're all modelled on photoshop. paintshop pro and a few others r alot cheaper. personally i think whatever is free is the best:D . i use a program called arcsoft photostudio 5. it came free with my scanner. u might be able to get a free copy from cannon's website or arcsofts or something like that.

    Well.. for drawing, i use my hand and pencil too :p

    But for coloring... i try PSP7.. but it,. doesnt give me what i want.. it makes me angry and i end up closing the drawing and not saving.. the only good one i've used is OpenCanvas.. x.x *sigh*

    Hey! I also use PSP7! In fact, even though I have both PhotoShop and PSP, I'm way more proficient at using PSP. Either program is good for coloring; you just need to learn how to use Layers. There lots of different methods in coloring; I like using a combination of Colorizing, Airbrushing, and PSP's Retouch tool while using Layers.
