    i have just watched eps 1 - 5 of lain.. and I have not got a fuppin CLUE what is goin on :)
    is there an ep 00 of this that explains everything? cos I do have an .mpg named lain00, but it's only the title sequence, so i wasn't too sure....

    what the hell indeed...

    I watched all of Lain quite a while ago and I'm still a bit confused... but it is really a mind job. I couldn't handle watching more than one episode either(because it made we want to smash things.......)


    But the ultimate explanation of the series is:

    Lain is Lain

    Lains a mind job but with the right ammount of brain (which got) you can get the jist of it, even in the last episode, the explanation is a little open. Keep at it Mordy.

    It explains it a bit more near the end, but I'm still a bit confused... you'll figure it out as you go ^__^v

    But then again I guess that everyone could have a different interpretation of the show, I mean "Lain is Lain" could mean something totally different or could be a reference to something, oi.. I'm confusing myself >< But trying to figure it out is what is so interesting about Lain.

    when we were watching it in(and out) of club, we found the best way to understand it is to watch and silently go wtf? and just listen and observe everything...it all makes sense in the end. in a messed up way

    so confusing..

    It's a great show.. but I am really lost, some parts make sense, but it doesn't all fall in place right away, something you see in the first ep might make sense by about six or seven, and so on from there, if you don't understand it, stick with it and make sure to absorb everything, that way you always know what's going on. Partially.

    and then watch it again. then will it make awhole lot of sense....then, one more time to celebrate and then find something new...

    It wasn't till like time 3 or 4 for me that I caught even some basic plot points such as, 'who got run over by a car in Shibuya in Ep. 5'. So yeah, repeated viewings, and then, in the end it is what you make of it.

    Hey, Lain may be confusing, but a lot of the music is worth watching the series for again! :D

    And you guys are right, it's probably time to watch it again...

    Read a synopsis of it online or whatever. I can say the same thing about it when I first saw it at the video place here, that I wouldn't be able to watch it.

    'Course, it helped that I finished Evangelion right before...:D

    If you look at it one way, then yeah, she is god. (Will not use capitals :D) Or, a god that chose to delete itself to stop the creation of another god, Deus. Something along those lines. If anybody here actually gets every nuance of Lain, then they'd have to be commended on their patience and abstract/off the wall knowledge :D
