Escaflowne Which do you like better?

    Okay tell me do you prefer the movie, the series, or the manga better when it comes to Escaflowne? I think I like the series better, then again it was years ago and it was the masacred version on Fox kids that only lasted nine episodes. I loved it though. I never saw the manga.... the idea of manga hadn't really crossed my mind at that point. The movie to me feels some what rushed, but it could just be me.

    Oh and if you are wondering I have become interested in Escaflowne again... maybe Adult Swim could do the uncut series. I can dream, right?

    I loved the movie only because I found Escaflowne the series boring. It may have been just the fact that I watched it with friends in a haphazard fashion (meaning, I skipped a few episodes [read: alot]). The movie made much more sense because it didn't concentrate on anyone that I found particularly unimportant to my understanding of Van's and Hitomi's relationship. It was just them two.

    The directness of it made me like it more than the series.

    true...
    It is kinda confusing if you watch the Movie expecting it to be like the series. Other then having the same place, (some of) the same people, and escaflowne and the idea of the wing godess from the mystic moon, the plots are not at all the same...

    Definitely the series. The movie's plot was just......wack. Still, the art was nice, and it was nice seeing Van and the others again. ^^
