    I'm not sure if there is a post like this already or not but I'm asking anyway.
    Of all the episode (1-80) Which one made cry like a baby (maybe not to that extreme . . .)
    I would have to say the one where Haku dies*eyes getting teary already* and Naruto's going all out yelling at Zabuza . . . then Zabuza goes crazy *SOBS* then dies . . . Ahhhh . . . HAAAKKUUUUU!!! *takes deep breath* Anyway which one was a tear jerker? (It's okay to cry watching anime...)

    Oh wait, and the one episode with Lee batteling Gaara, where he gets up and still want's to fight even though he's unconscious . . . maybe it was the music??? But still it was sad. :sad:

    I haven't watched too many episodes, but I agree that it's probably the one with Haku and Zabuza. *sniffs*

    Another sad encounter for me is when Sakura thought that Sasuke died in that battle with Haku.

    Well, I don't know if this is sad but, it really got into me when Iruka said that Naruto was no longer the demon fox but "Uzumaki Naruto" in the first few episodes.

    The saddest episode for me was:

    The recent episode where the Hokage died and they had the funeral for him, and almost everyone gave a speech ;_;

    I have to go with you guys on Haku and Zanza part. There're quite a few later on in the manga but that would be spoiler so I'll keep my mouth shut about it. :anime:

    I'd say the episodes with Gaara's flashbacks as a child. And the death of Yashamaru. Yeah, pretty upsetting to watch what Gaara had to go through as an innocent kid.

    big spoiler alert

    just caught the first 19 eps... n damn it, doesn't Haku reminds u so much of Seta Soujiro?? Well he so does to me n i thank Watsuki for not making Soujiro die dat way. It was dead depressing to watch the snow falling n hearing Zabuza sayin "Haku... R u crying?"
    Kudos to Hayato Date (or whoever is d creator of Naruto) for making me cry d way I did in episode 19.

    It's Zabuza ^^;

    And mine was:
    When this match finished and the 3rd Hokage died. I really cried during the funeral..

    So in another words, just like what TG said :)

    Same as Zanza and TG for me. Especially when..

    You could see everybody's flashbacks at the funeral, before going to give.. I think it was a flower?

    I haven't seen any episodes but I have read the manga and I think it was sad whan Haku died and Zabuza wanted to die next to him *SNIFF* It was also sad when Haku started to cry and Zabuza touched his face. It was a sad ending for Haku and Zabuza I started to cry like I was Niagra falls. And how did Soujiro die I only read volumes 1-5 of the graphic novels. If some one wants to see a web site all about Haku from Naruto then please visit haku.sayuri.us poor Haku and poor Zabuza. :sad:

    Zabuza and Haku did, yes. Well done tragic anime always gets me - orphans, violent death, sacrifice....*sob* It's a little strange, though, because once the episode's over and you start thinking about it, you realize how flawed it is. Sure, they got everything right in terms of Haku's character, who is incredibly tragic and endearing, they got the mood, the music, the lines and the fights right - and that's why the episode is such a tearjerker - but the problem remains Zabuza...

    Yes, but should it have gotten to Zabuza? He really did see Haku as a tool all the time, even after Haku dies - as evidenced by the fact that he was going to slash through Haku's body to hit Kakashi. If he was going to have a change of heart about Haku (a pretty damn massive one), the moment of Haku's death was the only logical time to do it. What Naruto says later shouldn't have come as a revelation to Zabuza, either; he may be pretty psychotic but he wasn't stupid, surely? Any idiot could have seen that Haku was devoted to him. He just didn't care, and it's implausible for him to start caring so late.

    The other problem is his killing of Gatou without using his arms. It's intense and because of the way the story is built up and because of Naruto's speech, it FEELS like he's avenging Haku - only he's not, is he? In truth, Zabuza is the only reason Haku died, not Gatou. And it's not like you can say that it had anything to do with Gatou kicking Haku's corpse: Zabuza was ready to cut through that corpse a few scenes earlier.

    And finally he makes a big thing about wanting to see Haku's face before dying: touching in and of itself, yes, but again, in the larger context it is very late and completely inconsistent with his earlier behavior.

    Even accounting for the fact that Zabuza is a borderline psychotic character, the end of the arc - as heartwrenching as it might be - just does not add up upon reflection.

    There's been numerous hints in the flashbacks that Zabuza did have a heart for the kid, though. Remember that in most of those flashbacks, Haku ACCEPTED being a tool, and was actually happy for it because he felt needed. Thusly, he indeed devoted all of that. Zabuza DOES appreciate that, and we can see that in that one flashback where he vowed to return to Wave one day and change it, and Haku stated (or restated) that he would be his tool. Zabuza then says '...good boy.' It wasn't in cockiness or anything - the tone was pretty soft. This does show Zabuza's appreciation, if even a little, so you can't say it wasn't there.

    Sure, Haku's side of it is perfectly consistent. Going from utter desolation to being with Zabuza meant everything to him, regardless of what purposes he's put to.

    There's that, and he pats Haku on the head a few times. But it's easy, in hindsight, to doubt his sincerity in those moments, IMO.

    I dunno. I think I might have been more open to the interpretation of Zabuza which the manner of his death attempts to impose on us emotionally (that he really did love the boy deep down) if he had shown some emotion, even just a little, at the moment of Haku's death. Not just later, after Naruto's little speech, which also shouldn't have mattered as much as it did to someone with his obsessive personality.
