 This isn't even a proper debate. Watch, this will be tossed to Misc very soon.

Anyway. They both have good points and I'm fine with either.

    Erm.
Well I like dogs better, as they don't have an "attitude" like cats do.

I like both. Neither is better, as animals are all individuals, and each species and breed has specific traits which make it more favorable for different things. However, given the choice of a dog or cat, I'd probably choose the cat. Less noise, less drool, and they potty-train themselves within two months.

Cats. They aren't as friendly as dogs but they are so cute. I like both almost equally but I get tired of dogs and their constant energy quicker then cats snobness (is that even a word?) *shrugs*

Cats. True, dogs are more friendly but sometimes they get TOO friendly. I mean, Christ, they just won't leave you alone! Meanwhile, a cat doesn't get in the way (not to MY experiences, at least) and they just look cooler.

I remember the one time my dog wouldn't leave me alone and I had to feed him to my brother's pirahna. Wasn't a pretty sight, I'll tell you that much. :p

Depends on the person. I got screwed out of a debate about this topic over popularity vote. But well Dogs are good for security, and cats for cuddling up with. So our dogs, but it's all a matter of likes and dislikes.

My cat acts like a dog sometimes ... always wants to eat, always wants to play with me.

Anyway, cats are superior. I like small pets. I wouldn't want a dog that could kick my ***, and the little ones are all yappy and annoying. Cats don't dig up your lawn, they don't bark annoyingly whenever someone comes to the door, and they don't have as nasty breath.

DOGS! I am majoy dog lover. They seem to stay out of trouble more in my experience and they are not as spiteful. My dog jumps around like a Bunny, it's so funny.

I LOVE DOGS!!!!! They're adorable. When I'm with my dog, I feel like she loves me (corny). When I'm with a cat, I feel like they're thinking "Oh my gosh, get away". Personally, I like the high energy. Alright, the one things I don't like about dogs is they get a little fresh. Anyway, I want a pet that I can bond with and play with and that doesn't mind being with me. :catgirl:

I love both soooo much, but I must admit I'm partial to dogs. Well, depends on the dog really. I like big dogs, ones you can can hug and not worry about breaking their spine. I have a big ditzy golden retriever named Tito, that is my big baby. :anime: You can cuddle with dogs too.

Don't get me wrong though I love my cat, Junior too. He is probably more attention hungry than Tito in some ways. He's a black tomcat with one eye.

It is pretty cute to see them try and get your attention when you're petting the other. :anime:

I've never had a dog but I don't think I would want one. They are too noisy and scare me, especially the ones that weigh 200 pounds and jump on you because they are hyper. I have 2 cats, the one has an "attitude" but the other one acts a bit like a dog, except doesn't crush me when he jumps on me. It's crazy too when I'm walking and he starts running like crazy and I chase after him, mwahaha.

I've never had a dog myself, and I don't think I am a dog person. I love cats though ^^
