    It was horribly cut up!

Both have some great hings going for them, I enjoyed the show, character development, story, length. Movie was great too, it's quality was outstanding and it had a different take on the story. I can't decide really, but I'm leaning more towards the series.

i love escaflowne to me it was one of the best shows ever. Both the movie and the show were great ,but there is a lot of difference in the movie she loves van almost instantly but in the show she actually has a crush on allen.so since i am a great fan of van i think the movie is a little better

I think the love for Van was too instant in the movie, but heck, it was a movie and not a 26 episode series.

I love the series because of how long it took for their relationship to development but the movie was just so much prettier. I mean visually, in an hour and a half, it blew me away. The story was slightly lax but in the end, I still wish I had Van all my own.

the relationship was slow and gradual but it was painful.i mean the part when van sees hitomi and allen kissing on the bridge the look on his face was so painful and thats why i prefer the movie but yes the show is awesome too that is after they realise they love each other that is ;)

Initially I had some resistance to watching the movie. First, the changed character designs, when in still images, looked odd to me. Second, I was afraid the movie was simply going to be a "let's cram the whole series into two hours" confusion fest. However, I decided that I needed to see it once the opportunity presented itself, if only because I couldn't say I'd seen it all unless I saw the movie. The result?

There are some aspects of the television series I like better, and others that I prefer the movie take on. I take both versions on their own merits, and I can honestly say I find it impossible to really choose a favorite.

I liked the movie, but as always, when trying to tell a whole series in a two hour[ish] time slot, the 26 episode version is going to turn out better.

And I was so no digging Folken's mullet, or the, you know, um... removal of Diandau's point. Though it was nice to see him ride off into the sunset...

I like the show. Because of Character development. Also Folken wasn't that bad of a guy.

But I am glad they made a movie. It give us fans something more. I can always hope for a Escaflowne 2.
