You forgot a few, but I guess you were trying to go for different classes of spells. In which case, I guess I'll choose stop (as I'm talking about all the effect spells) because haste and hastega are destroyers of the Active Time Battle.

There's also non-elemental (ultima, flare, etc.) spells, and negative effect spells (break, and such...but those are probably considered under effects as well.)

I chose cure. Mostly because the other ones seem to alternate with me depending on who I fight, like when I'l fighting a fire guy then ice is more useful, but Cure is always there to heal you and make your battles go on and on without me dying. That and it works great against undead guys...

Hehe, that's true. I guess I hadn't really thought of that since I don't especially use cure at all. Well, it was different in FFX, but...yeah...that's only because items got too expensive. :p

And VM, I believe he's talking about Final Fantasy. Either that or just RPGs in general. Which have most of those spell types he listed.

    oh thats right

hehehehe i love ice elemental magic although i like it better with
ice1, ice2, ice3. i didn't much care for the blizzard, blizzara, blizzraga. but i suppose that ice spells are ice spells no matter how you put it.

i didn't much care for the shiva summon though:eek:

stop is cool but hardly ever works (for me anyway)
maybe auto-haste that way you can heal 10 times before even the enemies can go once.

Diablos is an FFVIII summon that essentially does gravity damage to the extent of its level. See, let's say Diablos is at level 14, it takes away 10% of the enemies HP. At 57, it takes away 50%. Needless to say, lv. 100 is just 'roundabout of 100%, considering, of course, that the baddie in question has below 9999 hp.

I've actually tested this. I fought a T-Rexaur with Zell, Squall, and Rinoa (arguably the BEST team..but I'd try to trade in Squall for Quistis.) at level 100. That means the T-Rexaur has upwards of something like 100,000 hp. I blitzed it with normal attacks with Squall (Auto-haste, 255 speed, 255 str, 100% Pain....actually 255 EVERYTHING, *and* was immune to almost all status attacks except for curse.) and Rinoa (much the same as Squall, except she absorbed spells.). Zell just did Diablos. After I scanned him and made sure he was under 9,999...I skipped up until Zell, and casted Diablos...it killed the dino.

Diablos and Doomtrain are the BEST summon spells EVER. I mean that, seriously. Well, maybe not as good as Anima...but GODDANG!!!! If your compatability (rate at which you summon the GF) is at 1000 pts...and your speed is 255, you pretty much have 2 Diablos spells in the time it takes for a moderately fast baddie to have ONE hit. Doomtrain casts EVERY status attack in the BOOK. Diablos summons freaking fast, it's cheap, and it looks like a freakin'...evil lord of hell, which it is named after.

And why people don't choose gravity too much? It was only really effective in Final Fantasy VIII, as I've just written.
