Food White Chocolate

    This may be a dumb question, but... Does white chocolate taste different from regular chocolate? It seems to taste different to me.

    I don't like white chocolate :p But I do like Dark Chocolate or Chocolate with raspberry filling, mm yum :) now I want chocolate *gets up to hunt for some. . .

    Some white choclate i really like, but i can't remember the name of the chocolate bars there put in. I really don't like dark chocolate, it just has to much of an after taste that lasts for about an hour :p.

    apart of tasting differrent, it's also much creamier, due to a higher cocoa butter content

    hmm.. I'm not too fond of white chocolate.. or chocolate in general. But, I prefer white chocolate in macadamia nut cookies. Dark chocolate is better for you.

    I like white chocolate baked in cookies. I don't like it plain white chocolate, it has to be with something. Same goes to the other chocoklates: dark chocolate(mint, nuts, etc), and milk chocolate (nuts, waffers, etc).

    White chocolate isn't chocolate. Its yougorts or other milk products or stuff like that.

    Yes, there is a difference. White chocolate tastes gross! I guess it doesn't have cocoa in it... which is what make regular chocolate so yummy. (Maybe it does?) But biting into that stuff is like eating overly sweet wax. Makes me sick... I don't like super sweet things.

    I thought so. It does taste more sweet. I like regular and dark chocolate better.

    Personally, I prefer white chocolate. I can't really explain why. It's just a matter of taste. I think white chocolate tastes better, but I can't put into words why.

    Here's a small list of chocolate goodies that contain white Chocolate

    White Chocolate Reese's cups
    Nestle Cookies 'n Cream
    Cadbury Marble (To this day, I haven't found one in Canada. My mom brought a few over when she went to Ireland back in 2000, but since then, I haven't seen any. (Pointless side note, she was staying in Galway, home of the founder of the boards))

    I don't know of any others at this time. :sad:
