Who are your favorite anime/manga couples?
Did you like or dislike Yaoi/yuri couples?

There's more but these are my all time favorite anime couples.


As for Yaoi/yuri couples, Im not really into that kind of stuff. Im not being prejudice but I just prefer staight couples.

 

i like Van and Hitomi from Tenkuu no Escaflowne. I just like the sweet young love they have

for yuri/yaoi stuff....i really don't care a lot about it. i don't love it, nor do i hate it. meh, oh well.

 

Personally, I'm a yaoi fan. XD Not that I have anything against straight couples - but hey, it's been scientifically proven that women actually prefer femmy guys, so why not put em together? XD Yeah, I know I'm not convincing anyone.

Personal favorites (most of which aren't canon, but do you think I'm going to let that get to me?) in no particular order:
Folken/Dilandau, Dilandau/Miguel, or Miguel/Shesta (Escaflowne)
Luciola/Dio or Claus/Dio (Last Exile)
Hakkai/Gojyo and Goku/Nataku (Saiyuki)
Touya/Yukito (Card Captor Sakura)
Claude/Ashton or Claude/Leon (Star Ocean 2 - and yes, these are valid pairs, since the game allows same-gender couplings and the anime is open on pairings.)

Most of these pairings have considerable plausibility given the characters' interactions and personality. I really don't care if a couple is canon or not, as long as it makes some sense - the only pairings I'd say I oppose are the ones where the characters' relationship seems "forced."

Hmm.. favorite Anime/Manga couples? That is a toughie.. obviously without a doubt Amon/Robin (Witch Hunter Robin)... and Setsuna/Sara (Angel Sanctuary... c'mon, they're brother and sister, how can that NOT be cool? ). However most of the pairings I would think of are just inane things I think up. Like I think Setsuna/Kira (Angel Sanctuary) would make a cute couple as would Mikael/Raphael (Angel Sanctuary) As would Brandon/Bunji (Gungrave)..

Anyways... oh yeah... yaoi/yuri all the way.

Obviously Inuyasha/Kagome, and maybe Inuyasha/Kikyo as well (if they had trusted each other a little more... but I'm more of an Inuyasha/Kagome fan).

Ranma/Akane..... Spike/Faye.........Miroku/Sango... ehh, most of the traditional pairings, or at least hinted at ones...

Yaoi/Yuri? Nah, not for me. I'm not prejudiced or anything, just that I'd prefer reading about straight couples, but I'm not against yaoi/yuri.

Somehow, I never felt the vibe between those two. On the other hand, they're not half as obnoxious as most main couples - I suppose I'm fairly neutral there. At the very least, they do have compatible personalities.

A lot of the traditional pairings feel a bit "convenient" to me. XD Not always, but it's fun to try and see what's going on beneath the surface, rather than have the relationship clearly spelled out.

Oh, forgot to mention. XD A couple years ago, a friend convinced me to watch Yu-Gi-Oh, and I developed an interest in the potential for Kaiba and Yugi as a couple. Not necessarily as high on my list as others, since I've fallen out of the fandom, but they're still kinda cute together.

My favorite anime/manga couple of all time would have to be, no questions asked, Kakeru/Himeko from the Sailormoon S movie and tankoubon #11. ESPECIALLY in the manga, where they are so sweet and In Love and it's just beautiful. *huggles*

Also, Zelgadis/Amelia from Slayers, because they are so cute. (And Ferio/Fuu from Magic Knight Rayearth... and Kazuhiko/Oruha from Clover... and...)

I never really thought about it before. Hmm... I think I would just go with whatever the creators intended. As for Yaoi and Yuri, I find that I enjoy straight couples more, though I'll go for the occasional yuri, and, even more occasionally, yaoi.
