Inu-Yasha who has stronger powers

does inuyasha or sesshomaru?

 

To me they are both equal, for all those people who come here saying that Inuyasha is the best, he probaly only wins because hes one of the main characters, and the show is named after him.

 

I'm not sure who is the stronger, but it does seem that they would make Inuyasha a little stronger. But i do remember during the first few episodes i believed that Inuyasha would never be as strong as his brother..... However, now as the show has progressed inuyasha's strenghth has increased, but we still don't really know the whole extent of his brother's power or strength either.

 

You really can't tell. Sesshoumaru holds back. InuYasha just justes brute force. Sesshoumaryu has had plenty of times to kill InuYasha, but he holds back or he just leaves. When InuYasha turned full demon Sesshoumaru could have just killed him and been done with him, but he didn't.
InuYasha doesn't do much thinking when he fights. He just goes after what to kill. As the show moves on, I see InuYasha think a little more when he is fighting.

So it is really hard to say which is acually stronger. InuYasha probley is because it is his show, so to make the viewers more interested there main character will be super strong. Sesshoumaru is a fair match also, he isn't much weaker than InuYasha if any weaker.

So, I would say there really isn't a clear winner.

Who has stronger powers?

Well, if you strip the two boys naked and dump them in a sealed room together, it's easy to figure out (once you get over staring at two naked bishonen). Sesshoumaru has Doukkasou (the poison claw), the light whip, the ability to transform himself into a giant dog with poison drool (that sounds so corny), and can also use his tail to fight and fly. Inuyasha has Sankontesshou (Iron Reaver Soul Stealer), and Hijinkesshou (Blades of Blood). Sesshoumaru trumps.

However, if you allow both boys all their clothes and weapons and stick them in the same sealed room, it gets tougher. Both boys have the aforementioned attacks. Sesshoumaru also has Toukijin, which has its powerful sword pressure attack that knocks Inuyasha back every time. He also has Tenseiga, which protects Sesshy from total annihilation at the hands of Kaze no Kizu, at least, and probably against the higher-level attacks. Couple that with the ability to graft any youkai arm onto his own left shoulder, and you've got a tough contender.

Yet Inuyasha has the Tessaiga, which as of series'-end, not only has the Kaze no Kizu and Bakuryuuha (ability to turn back high-youki attacks fourfold), but also has the powerful Kongousouha (much better than Red Tessaiga at breaking barriers) on his side. In this case, Kongousouha trumps, especially when souped up or combined with Kagome's purifying arrow. I'm pretty sure Tenseiga couldn't protect against that.

So final decision? Without weapons, Sesshoumaru wins. With weapons, Inuyasha wins.

Unless, of course, Sesshoumaru goes and gets Toukijin more powers. But the series isn't about Sesshy, now is it?
