    i now i do!!! here's a bit of a profile!

    name: Cho Sawagejo
    height: 5'11 with 14 inches of hair
    blood type: B
    weapons: various japanese swords, Renbatou, Hakujinnotachi
    too much background info! go find out yourself!

    they made a total joke of Cho!just because he's half american, they gave him a western accent! i can't belive that! Cho is one of my favorite characters on Rurouni Kenshin! but at least he gets to join up with Saitou!!! Saitou is my #1 hottie!!!

    his favorite of all katana's are those made by Arai Shakku. his forvorite sword of the ones he uses is the Haku-Jin No Tachi.

    yes! Viva La Sword Hunter!!! *swoons* oh, how i love Cho! so he wanted to kill a child! so what! it's not like no one's done it, or even fanticised about it right!? he's just...Cho... humans are disgusting anyway, children mostly. *shudders*

    oh! and another thing! i already knew Cho's favorite sword was the Hakujinnotachi! it was the sword he used as a child to kill his older brother! [who wasn't really his brother by the way] he was made fun of alot because his father was american, and his mother was japanese. his father disappeared and his mother died, so he was adopted by a japanese family. i think the parents who adopted him died as well, his sisters were married, and he was left living with his oldest brother. he was abused alot, his brother was usually drunk. he got a hold of a whip, and practiced dilligently when he was alone, wich lead to the Hakujinnotachi. his brother was throwing a party and everyone was drunk, so Cho went to go look at the swords in secret. the party-goers noticed him, and since they were drunk, they decided to kill him for dissobeying. he picked up a random sword to deffend himself, wich just happened to be the Hakujinnotachi. he whirrled it arround and wacked himself in the eye, and he had blood all over him. he thought it was his, but it was his brother's. he had killed his brother and his friends, took their swords and left. [from hitting himself in the eye with the Hakujinnotachi, it resulted in the one-eye-closed thing he has going on there] he can fight very well with most swords, and has no perminant fighting style. he has this thing with laughing and smiling when he's fighting or talking, so he covers his face with his hand sometimes. that's what he was doing when he was talking with Shakku Ari's son about his last sword. ^_^ i guess i told his history after all! if you didn't already know, here it is!

    The point is not to trust "random sites" for true and accurate information. Sometimes, that just isn't the case.

    Anyhow, I thought you as a fan of Cho, would like to read the character design notes of Watsuki (the original mangaka)...so here they are (courtesy of maigo chan's ruroken translations):

    I'm not so sure about the American background bit, and I've never seen the dubbed to hear what you're referring to as far as accents go. It's maybe in direct response to the fact that the original Japanese Cho uses Kansai-ben - a western country dialect, or perhaps an inside joke on their part.

    Being the "weakest of the Juppon Gatana" didn't help his image or fan gathering, and while I found him amusing to a degree, I found him fairly weak-winded and overconfident.

    Ah well, he'll always be Hogi ("broom-head") to me... :p

    ...huh? none of this is getting threw here...uhhh...so, Cho...that doesn't do much for me...

    just because he's the weakest of the Juppongatana doesn't mean he doesn't kick as*! and you could consider Kenshin as weak! if he doesn't have a sword, he can do nothing but dodge or hit people if they get close enough! each person has their own weakness in life so you can't just deffine him as 'weak'. everyone is weak in their own way! you can't just pin that title on one person! besides, Cho rules! yeah!

    Strange you should cite that example, given that Kenshin had no sword against Cho, and was still beating him down. ;)

    He and Saitoh also had quite a go at it before Kenshin left for Kyoto, even after they both knocked the other's sword away.

    Err...you just contradicted yourself in two sentences. "You can't call someone weak." And then, "Everyone is weak".

    True. They were all weak in some aspect. I'm merely repeating what was stated in Ruroken - that Cho was the weakest of the ten Juppon Gatana.

    Arguable Weaknesses:
    -Anji wasn't truly evil
    -Iwanbo was stupid and cowardly
    -Kamatari and Henya were overconfident
    -Usui let his anger blind him (no pun intended :p )

    And there's nothing wrong with Cho worship. I just happen to like Soujiro, Kamatari, and the others far more... :)

    ^_^' sorry, i tend to get...stupid at times! i just hate it when people call Cho weak. hell, if you want an example of weak, it's me! oh well, but Cho, and all of his glory...*sigh*
