Anime Who should have won in the "Be a Star Contest?"

    Yurika was great, but I had another character in mind that I hoped to win!!!

    Any ways, who did you hope, support, and wished would win?! [​IMG]

    I hoped Ruri would win. I really liked "I want to be your number one!"

    Yeah, me too...I wish if Ruri's won... her song "I want to be your number one!" it is so nice... I really liked it ^_^.

    Question RE: Ruri's song...

    This is only tangentally related to the topic,but I thought it deserved voicing.

    Do you think she had a particular audience in mind when she sang it?

    I thought it was interesting to note that she blushed (furiously) when Akito complimented her.

    Maybe I'm just reading too much into this...

    As for the topic,my vote would go either to Ruri or Yurika.

    The thing is i think that Ruri did win the contest but she pulled out at the last minute. Im not sure cause i couldn't hear what the Prospector was saying. It sounded something like "With first place winner Ruri Hoshino....something something". If somebody has this on dvd and check the subtitles they might mkae out whats been said. Or if you listen closly somebody might be able to make it out. Could someone check? Please pretty please! I'd do it myself but i can't get my hands on the dvd.

    And in answer to he question at hand i think Ruri should have gooten the prize. :anime:

    oh man.. I'm happy Yurika 'won' there's too much emphasis on Ruri. I mean I can't find myself a Yurika wall scroll cuz it's all about Ruri. pardon me for not being turned on by a 13 year old little girl, even if I wasn't straight.

    anyways Kain, it sounds familiar.. maybe something happened. I'll have to check.

    To tell the truth i never said that i was turned on by Ruri i just said that she should have won thats all.

    When i first saw that ep. and when Ruri came on. i started to think she had a good chance of winning. Than when she did that fog effect it was like wow she would have to win now. But when it came to the winner i was really shocked that Yurika won.

    maybe its because Yurika is the captain and she would have been more upset to lose then Ruri. I don't think Ruri really cared?.. *shrug*

    One last time,in case you missed it...

    Ruri technically DID win the contest,but refused the prize,which then defaulted to the runner up - Yurika. (Check the dubs,it has the same info!)

    That said,I absolutely enjoyed Ruri's song (doesn't mean that I'd vote for her,though... :D )
