Anime Who's a Mary-Sue?

Which female anime or manga character do you think is a Mary-Sue? (for those who don't know the term, a Mary-Sue is a girl often found in fanfiction that is so perfect that she's completely unrealistic)

 

Actually...that's not the full definition of a mary sue.

A mary sue is practically always the star of the show. They can do no wrong. They are practically perfect. Some tend to have problems caused from bad history/some other event that is classified as their 'flaw'. All the other characters like him/her and everyone moarns when he/she dies. Also, mary Sues are usually the author's idealistic view of one's self...Can befriend anyone

There are many kinds of Mary Sue:

Typicial Mary Sue: The one stated in the definition above. Is usually a very kind, loving person, hence the characters love him/her.

'Help me!' Mary sue: the kind that always needs to be rescued. XD Very whining but still lovable.

Has mental Problems Mary Sue: although 'perfect', this Mary sue does seem to ahve a 'flaw'. She's got maybe depression problems or soemthing along those lines. Authors tyr to make their mary sue NON-mary sue...that is how this one is born. 'Depression' however, is NOT a flaw...

Self insertation Mary sue: usually one's perfect view of their self. The character has all thw writer's virtue but none of their flaws. Not all self isnertations are mary sues tho as many authors bring in their flaws as well.

there are other kinds but these are the ones you usually see. And EVERYBODY mourns the sue when she dies.

You'll notice that practically every protagonist is a mary sue. Merely because they are the main character.

But here are some anime Mary Sues...

Manga Sailor Moon
I don't care what anyone says, manga sailor moon is the perfect example of a mary Sue. Anime Sailor moon is ALSO a mary sue, but not as bad as her manga version. but you'll realize, all the fans LOVE manga SM and hate anime SM. Sheesh.

Sakura Kinomoto (CCS)
Don't get me wrong, i love sakura, but she is indeed a 'mary Sue'

Misaki Suzuhara (Angelic Layer)
Another CLAMP Mary Sue (CLAMP has a lot). I like her too, but she is a 'mary sue'

And there are many more outside of anime.

I myself don't care if a charcater is a 'Mary Sue' as you can see by these examples, they're everywhere. big deal. They're still good characters. Fanfiction writers tend to take the Mary Sue thing a little far tho...

 

I would say that Kagome is from InuYasha.
