Inu-Yasha Who's the woman for Inu Yasha?

Kagome....even If Kikyou was still alive, he's just right with Kagome.

I support cannon pairings, so I'll say Kagome. Kikyou wanted to change Inu into a ningen, but Kagome accepts him as he is.

Kagome is the one I think belongs with Inuyasha. For the same reasons as 'sangotaijiya.' Kagome accepts him for what he is.

She only attempted once, but that was out of love.

 

No she simply wanted him dead she said.... She loved him but now she says she hates him and will use his love against him... i'll have to rewatch that episode... i have the first series on dvd

 

But I'm referring to the manga. I prefer the manga over the anime. According to the manga, Kikyou hated him and wanted to know the real reason she died. But instead, he told her he couldn't stop thinking about her. That's why she kissed him. She wanted to take him to hell out of love. This was in volume 8.

On volume 6, when Kikyou was first ressurrected, she was lost and confused only consumed by anger. That was when she told him she hated him, and her soul couldn't move from that spot. But later, she realized that she still loved him in volume 8.

 

Come on, we all know that InuYasha likes Kagome, and always will love her? Did you watch the second movie, and how she helped him at the end? Well, if that's not true love, then i don't know what is. But let's face it, these guys were made for each other (InuYasha and Kagome).

He would be with Kikyio, but as you mentioned, she's dead, no so much you can do there. Poor Kikyo, if it wasn't for Naraku, she'd be with InuYasha forever, but i guess fate had to have him meet Kagome, and it's probably for the best. Right?

That was Kagome's perspective on the Inuyasha/Kikyo situation, but my opinion deviates somewhat. According to the numerous flashbacks of Kikyo's sacrifice, she died to prevent the Shikon's corruption from spreading. Once she'd sealed Inuyasha to the Goshinboku, she had ample opportunity to harness the Shikon's power and restore herself to full capacity, but (knowing such a selfish wish would contaminate the jewel) she allowed herself to die, recognizing that prolonging her death would interfere with destiny.

Also Kagome's opinion regarding the love triangle, but I wholeheartedly oppose this (with no offense intended to Kagome, of course ^_^). Compete with what? Kikyo, as wholesome and altruistic as she may have been throughout her life, has been rendered into an empty, tainted shell of her former self. While still possessing a fragment of her former personality, Kikyo is no longer the woman Inuyasha fell in "love" with (even if he's glorified Kikyo v.2 enough to convince himself that she is). Whether or not Inuyasha may have indirectly contributed to her death, he was not the perpetrator, and therefore should not be held even partly responsible. Given the opportunity, why on Earth should Inuyasha choose to accompany Kikyo to hell when he's presented with the much-less-daunting option to (as a friend so eloquently put it) "screw the dead *****" and remain with Kagome, who he's obviously developed feelings for?

*Note: I don't actually think Kikyo's a "*****", just a bit melancholy, and consequently, she's one of my favorite characters. I just see absolutely no tangible reason that Inuyasha should feel compelled to accompany Kikyo when he's clearly progressed past his relationship wth her (his obsession with her, however, is another issue entirely).

If that's considered selfish, then what would you label "choosing between your lifelong obligation and your own trivial desires at the expense of the supposed "love of your life"?"

Ok we could talk about this forever and never get to a resolution. But I must ask a question that yeah, might probably resolute in more of what's going on here.But we've been talking and giving our opinions on who is the woman for Inuyasha. But consider this, who do you think Inuyasha really wants? Who is he really in love with? I mean he could be in love with Kagome or he may still be in love with Kikyou, even considering the state she is in. I don't know but feel free to state your opinion.

 

I think he's made it reasonably evident that he wants to advance his relationship with Kagome, but can't because he's constantly experiencing guilt because, in his opinion, if he'd never encountered Kikyo she'd still be alive. Consequently, he's convinced himself that he's indebted to her and prohibits himself from revealing the extent of his feelings for Kagome.

And part of him still genuinely cares for Kikyo. Go figure.

 

I don't watch the anime. I base my opinions on the manga. I am well aware that Inuyasha likes Kagome and vice versa (which is very obvious) and I'm fine with that. I don't have a problem with Inuyasha being with Kagome or Kikyou. It doesn't really matter to me who he chooses to be with as long as he is happy with his decision and doesn't have any guilt over it.

Now that I think about it, I think Kikyou is better off alone, though I wished she would have been happy with love, but it is better to love and lost then to never love someone in the first place. If Kikyou rests in peace and happiness, I'll be so happy! ^_^

 

Kagome all the way. Kikyo. . . Kikyo wants to kill Inuyasha for something he didn't do but what Naraku did. Yet Inuyasha still has feelings for when he knows he has a great girl like Kagome right by his side.

 

He also has strong feelings for Kagome. But for some reason, he seems to be more willing to show his feelings for Kikyou. Why!? Kagome likes him better, and he likes Kagome better too.
I think Inuyasha is just trying to get over Kikyou.

I use to think that it should have been Kikyou. Now, that I ask my self I think it should be Kagome. Kagome loves InuYasha as does Kikyou. InuYasha has began to like Kagome more than Kikyou, he still does have feelings for Kikyou, but there from the past and Kikyou isn't the same person. Her attitude is a lot differnt. I would rather have Kikyou be a loner, than following InuYasha around all the time.

 

Kikyou tried to kill Inuyasha because she loved him. But when she did try to kill him, she never knew that Naraku came in between them. Kagome may have blurted it out, but Kikyou didn't trust Kagome. That's why Kikyou went to Kaede for the information after she heard Kagome.

I would have to agree with that. It's better to have loved then to never have loved in the first place. ^_^

 

Why do people forget this stuff!? Even if she did love him, he's with her now! Kagome's just right!

IM going for Kagome. Even though shes a reincarnation of Kikyo, Inuyasha still falls in love with her.

 

i would say Kagome, all the way because she's been by Inuyasha's side for a long time now(i dont know how long) i know that Kikyo lost her life because she wanted to die with him but what kind of dead woman wants to be living off of souls??? thats kinda sad...and evil...Kagome is the best for Inu

As the usual expected answer you'd get, I have to go for Kagome. *cries* But it would be better if by some way the story ends her up with Sesshoumaru. xD Obviously, I'm rather a fan of Sesshoumaru and Kagome than Inu Yasha, so sssh. I'm loving the fan fictions, hey. Well, I've said my part. (poof)
