Neon Genesis Evangelion Why are her eyes brown?!

    *Please note, this thread might contain spoilers!*

    In the end of Evangelion, at the very end of the whole movie when Asuka and Shinji are just well... there... did anyone else besides me relaize Asuka's eyes are BROWN? Not only that, but I know you all think that Asuka's bandages are there because the injuries she got in that fight (which they are), but did anyone else realize they also mimiced Rei's when Shinji first met her!?

    I heard that the reason Asuka's eyes are brown is because she's now a mixture of Rei, Misato and herself. Just wondering is that true?

    Theres a theory that 'Asuka' in that scene is actually a mishmash of Misato, Rei and Asuka. Note the bandages. Rei's. Hair and body: Asuka's. Eyes: Misato's.

    Not to mention a nice combination of personality mixed in. Her voice was Asuka's, yet she spoke like Rei, and her touching Shinji was like Misato's motherly moments....sort of.

    But yeah, general consensus is that THEY became HER. Although, if you go by both EoE AND the original episode 26, that makes no sense, since Shinji rejected complementation. Then again, looking back, NOTHING makes sense if you take the TV episode 26 into account.

    Oh well, poor Anoo, maybe he'll spill if we all send him death threats. Then he'll probably make a new ending to Eva to either satify us or make us laugh the second time we watch it.

    People did that already. That's how EoE came about. And that's why he showed Shinji soiling himself at Asuka's bedside. And why Asuka says, "I'm sick" or whatever. He didn't want to, but he made it because fans were pissed at the TV ending.

    Also in EoE just before the large Lilith/Rei's neck starts to gush of blood... the scene before that with the writting is all the flame mail/death threats/ & bad reveiws that the fans sent out... nice to know Anno has a sense of humor :p

    Okay, actually I hope those otaku that sent the death threats are in hell. Poor Anno, he has enough problems without a bunch of loser otaku telling him they'll kill him, blah, blah, blah.

    Nice to know he has enough guts to actually stand up for himself. :p

    I'm one of those people who belive that EoE was Anno's way of saying 'Up your's' to the fans. :D

    This is true, EoE being just a joke, it's true. Seriously. One of the guys thta worked on the film said so. :p

    Most of the others know that as well... the Otaku's wanted an Eva unit ending so Anno got pissed & one of the first things he did was show rei getting felt up & then later dismembered/falling to bits. As i said... a good sense of humor

    In all honesty, Dredz, I knew *your* sarcasm. I just didn't know about Rockna's. However, I still would have posted what I did, just for the Eva fans that don't know why EoE was made. I commend Anno for his confidence in his scrota. However, I'd probably do the same, just out of spite, rather than joke around. ^_^

    I wasn't being sarcastic, I was being annoying. :D Okay I was being a bit sarcastic but meh, they're just words. :p

    It was a joke designed to scare those damn otaku. :D

    When I first watched it I was like wtf... but the second time I laughed. And then the third time I laughed harder (mainly because I watched it with the audio commentary. Damn Amanda Win lee, I'm sur emost of you know that at cons she strips down to her bra. Good god the woman in her late twenties. Ah well, her husband Jason sure is funny... 'Appartently everyone but the chrysler corp. was involved in this logo section.' lol....)
