Sailor Moon Why don't the other Senshi get cats?

How come Only Sailor Moon and Sailor V get cats. I mean I know it's kind of a stupid question, but hey...It came to me...Even Chibiusa gets Luna P and Diana!

I personally think that Diana should have went to Mercury or ChibiChibi. Chibiusa is kind of greedy having two cats though Luna P isn't considered a ''real cat''.
But really, what are the cats roles besides guardians?

I don't know, they seam like just gardians to me. I mean they are always there when the scouts seam to be in trouble or need advise. So their just gardians.

Well, I think they take up space, but I certainly don't think Luna fits in with Usagi (Serena). She's more of a...."Mars" type cat...

 

OOH OOH OOH! QUESTION!!
In the graphic novels Artemis ((Or Artimes. I can't spell his name right :dizzy2: )) says to Luna is that she never fully got her memory back. I know why this was happened but, like...It just doesn't make sense.

 

What happend to her that caused memory loss?

 

OK! I'm going to have to explain a bit but here it goes....-She took a deep breath-
When the Moon Kingdom was destroyed, Luna And Artimes were sent to Earth along with all the Sailor Scouts (Inner and outer senshi). The scouts had lost their memory from the kingdom, and Luna and Artimes were put into a deep sleep. Artimes had to look for Sailor V while Luna looked for Usagi.
Now the REASON WHY this all happened was because every scout was born again on Earth to get their memory back. For some reason the cats only lost a small portion of their memory, and when they got it back they couldn't tell any of the scouts about it until Usagi got HER full memory back.

OoohhhHHH! So that's what happend. I kinda thought it was something like that but I wasn't quit clear on what exaclty happened to them. But that totaly answers my question though.

 

If you buy the Sailor Moon novels 1-4 you might understand what that whole "memory thing's about.
But I still think it's seriously unfair that only Sailor V and Sailor Moon get cats. I drew pictures of the Senshi with their own cats. It's pretty cute =^.^=

 

But weren't Artimus and Luna orginaly people in their past lives? I don't know... but I thought so.....?

So why did they get switched back. Were they under some kind of curse or something?

I don't think they ever got switched back to cats...I think they stood that way. Though it does seem quite odd...

It's really because in most heroin genres....a pet mascot is a very important element of the cliche. Sailor Moon being the true primary leader of the senshi (scouts) has luna as her "trainer" and mascot to guide her correct her. Venus being the "secondary" leader of the scouts, second in command to Sailor Moon...(and official leader of the inner seishi w/o, sailormoon) - she had Artemis as her guaridan pet/cat as well. When all the senshi are gathered it is then appropriate for two guardians to be present. (preferrably one male and one female). Having one for each scout would be unnecessary.

Oh yeah, and Chibi-Usa is of course the daughter of Usagi(serena-sailormoon) and Mamoru(darien-tuxmask) in the 30th century so being that she also becomes a sailorscout later, and that she is among favored royal lines, it's only appropriate for her to have a "mascot" to guide her as well. (and that's diana! Luna and Artimis' cute baby kitten!) And Luna-P really isn't along the same lines as the guardian cats anyway cause it was a gift Future Sailor Mercury from the 30th century built for her as a gift and also as a source of communication. (ie: she talks to Sailor Pluto through it)

 

Explanation (spoilers [if you haven't seen or read it yet])

I think the reason Moon and Venus are the only ones to have cats is because Luna did not "wake up" until Moon took the bandage off her forehead. Luna then remembered her "duties". They never exactly explain Artimes and Venus meeting but I guess he was just looking for any scouts. Diana would of course be Mini Moon's because she needs guidence too.

 

Ooook...Well, ummm...That's kind of weird.
I'm not sure about this, but there was some where, where I read that the reason they turn human is because Sailor Moon uses her magic on them. It had happened in the movie, "Sailor Moon S".

The other scouts are smarter and know what a chore it is to pooper-scoop a cats box. I have 2 cats and know what I am talking about.
