Sure, and I'll take Ethiopia. :p

    But seriously.

I was talking about people in general. I don't mean everyone, but rather I mean most of the people who actually can make a difference. Many of those who can, don't. This is a simple fact. And while there are quite a few people who do care, who do try to help, their numbers are few and far between, simply not enough to make a difference.

    Hi!

    Interesting descussion!

Poverty... So we are talking about people who have "alot" money, and those who "don't"? It is hard to discuss. I think the problem has evolved since many centuries ago. To change the worlds economy is a very risky solution, don't you think? It isn't so easy.

The economy today is worldwide. The economy is like millions of systems working togheter to make it work. Like a computer.

It will take a long time to poverty is gone, because it is such a big problem that must be taken cared of in small pieces at the time, or else it would cause other problems, I guess. Everyone of us is a part of one of the systems to the economy.

I can't imagine how it would be if suddenly every mighty and rich human on our earth gave money to the poor ones at the same time. It would lead to chaos, and billions of small problems across the world that would take many, many years to solve.

There are many rich people in the world, but even more poor people. What we all know is the fact many rich people have more might than others, and can control other people with the help of others that work for them. The global economy is too advanced for us to think of a solution. I believe everything we say is right for us, but can't be done in the real world, and is wronge.

This is very complicated you know. But we can dream and hope. What else can -we- do? One thing is for sure; we can't solve this problem alone. The hole world must be agree, and then again millions of people must accept the concequenses. The concequenses would for example be that everyone that has money or many valueable things, must be willing to give.

We can't imagine even one thousand people. In my opinion; this is hopeless. Or maybe not. We have the television and radio today. The solutions of solving the problem, poverty, are in the hands of the mighty and rich, and millions of people that works for the mighty.

Good luck for those who want and believe they can change the world! ;)
