Inu-Yasha Why Sesshoumaru hates humans?

Ever wondered, why Sesshoumaru hates humans? I thought that it would be an interesting topic to discuss...
I think that he hates humans because humans are much weaker and slower than him and have a shorter life span. He thinks of humans as weak species not worthy of his attention. Well, what do u guys think?

 

I think your right about that.

You know, he could actually feel this way about humans. It's possible that he believes humans are weak since he's a demon himself, although it's not a good reason to ignore them like that. :anger2:

 

yeah, i guess so. but isn't it possible that something bad happened to him when he was little that had something to do with humans? just wondering...

 

I think I have a theory...

Sesshomaru is a full demon...so his full demon dad must've hooked up with a full demon chick at some point. What if...Sesshomaru's dad then fell in love with a human woman and left his mom to be with the human woman? Sesshomaru could be all resentful about that. Especially since they then conceived a child that was a hanyou...which then brought shame to the family line and made it unpure. And...to top it all off...Inu Yasha was the one that got the Testsaiga.

 

If you want my personal opinion, Sesshomaru's just infuriatingly arrogant, especially in regards to Inuyasha, but that's only because of their bond (Sesshomaru doesn't want to be associated to any entity he considers powerless, or at least fairly pathetic). He considers humans to be a nusiance, but he doesn't actually despise them, rather he considers himself a higher being and doesn't wish to trouble himself with their pettiness.

Of course that's the epitome of pettiness, but everyone has difficulties in identifying personal flaws. ^_^

 

i think he dosen't really hate humans as much as we think he does. he just misunderstands them. like Rin he keeps her around because shes simple and not really such a mystery as adult humans. i also think that its because of Inuyasha's mother some how replacing his so he feels some kind of unsatified anger inside him that he really dosent know how to release.
