Why is it that sometimes you read through a Graphic Novel and you see a title that you really liked origanally but the company decides to have some half***ed art school dropout redraw it !!!Does this annoy anyone else or am i just weird?:confused:

Could you give some examples? I'm afraid I can't think of anything that fits into this particular category....

    What exactly are you saying?

I also read in Manga! Manga! a Guide To Japanese Comics that in France a title was so popular that even when it ended i Japan the publisher had a local artist continue to write and draw it.
In ragards to my original post it may be that they rearrange the speach bubbles and just continue the characters drawin where the original speach bubble was.

I think the whole speech-bubble thing happens in DB once or twice...

I can't say I've ever come across this phenomenon. Probably the closest I've seen is what happened with ElfQuest where the original artist became the editor for a lot of the stuff that came out and had other artists working under her. Thing is, that's an American comic, not a translated manga.

Of course, the reason I haven't see this is probably because I never buy translated manga....

    Oh tell me about it:(

I can't complain like you about manga produced by Viz,or Tokyopop

But I've seen pirated mangas in my country and they are really really terrible.......the translations are so poor I don't understand a damn thing
    :(
