Dirt meaning clay? No, Wimbledon is well known for their grass courts. Clay is the French Open.

Some good matches today with Davenport, Sharapova and Venus Williams making to the 4th round, Serena is out. Whilst Federer, Roddick, Nalbandian going through for the mens.

The highlight I thought was the Murray/Nalbandian match. That Scottish kid has talent, but lacks fitness... he'll get strong in a few years time. He lost to the Argentinian 7-6, 6-1, 0-6, 4-6, 1-6.

Thomas Johansson said a rather funny notice today to the Swedish Press:

    " I will win Wimbeldon "

Who's gonna win this? My money is on Federar, doing a "hattrick" by winning it for the third time.

I think/am going for Roddick to win it this year... It'll really be boring if Federer wins again. Thomas Johansson is pretty good but I think that comment might be a little too optimistic.

The semi-finals for the womens are as follows:

    Davenport (1) vs Mauresmo (3)

    Sharapova (2) vs V. Williams (14)

    Seeds in (brackets)

I'm going for a Mauresmo vs Sharapova final. Mens Quarter finals to come plus update in players out of tournamen.

Sharapova is as good as she is attractive :p

I think she will win wimbeldon, the williams sisters aren't being that great as they were before.

Although I am hoping for Davenport - Sharapova final.

    Now, for the mens:

    Roddick (2) vs Johansson (12)

    Hewitt (3) vs Federer (1)

    Seeds in (barckets)

Wow, Johansson putting on some display here, he is now the oldest competitor left in the draw and this is the furthest he has raeched in Wimbledon in his career, before this was the 3rd Round last year.

Unfortunately I don't see him going past Roddick though I'll be rooting for him on the day. I see a Roddick vs Federer final.

Hmmm, some pattern in the seeded players in the SF for both mens and womens... 1,2,3,14th seeds for womens and 1,2,3,12th seeds for men in this final. And 1st vs 3rd in both... interesting.

Har har! Maybe we can trust in Johansson for saying " I will win wimbeldon ". After all, he is one of the fastest players in the tournament, or more likely, was :p

Federer vs Johansson in finals for me :)

Yay!! Venus Williams won against Maria Sharapova!!!....didn't she?
Serena is out meaning.... does that mean no more play at Wimbledon? i want one of the Williams sisters to win.

why was Sharapova wearing dangling earings in the match between her and V.Williams  :dizzy:

    Why not?

Yep, an all American womens final will commence tomorrow.

Onto mens. Federer demolished Hewitt to reach his 3rd successive final and Johansson is now playing Roddick for the other final place. Though at 6-5 to Roddick, play is suspended due to rain with Johansson to serve when play resumes.

Some people tend to get very diva when they are famous...

And I am STILL rooting for my countryman Johansson. He was going to retire this year, but he found his love for the game again.

Kinda like Waldner and the 2004 olympics in table tennis.

    Venus Williams beat Lindsay Davenport in 3 sets: 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 9-7.

Elsewhere, Roddick beat Swedish hope Johansson in 4 sets: 6-7 (6-8), 6-2, 7-6 (12-10), 7-6 (7-5). Meaning it is now the 1st and 2nd seeds in the final, a repeat of last year's finalist:

Roger Federer (1) vs Andy Roddick (2)

Who will win? I think Federer... he's going for a hattrick.

Mostly badluck for Johansson when losing against Roddick. That man sure can serve a ball.

In the finals, I am going for Federer too. The lad will take the entire tournament again.

Federer, the winner... 3 times in a row. Winning in straight sets: 6-2, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4.

The guy is absolutely scary... he made Roddick look utter crap tbh. He's in a totally different league. Well done to him.

Federer is a living legend. He can very well be in the books along with McEncore, Borg, Becker, Sampras and Enqvist.
