I saw the first 3 episodes of the new Japanese animated series and I really like it. The story involves a witch who joined a team as a replacement. The team hunts down witches who have used their powers to abuse others in any way. The team captures them, but do not kill them.
Has anyone seen this series?

 

Again, I'm behind. Haven't seen a minute of it, only a commercial for it. All I know is it's the directorial debut of Shukou Murase, the character designer for Gasaraki and ArgentoSoma. I want to see some of it, but the fansubs don't pass through here the way they used to.

 

The story after episode 14 gets more interesting where (SPOILER)
Robin gets hunted down because she has "the piece of knowlege" that increases a witches power. Amon first saved Robin because he thought she was hunted because she is a witch, but as he said in episode 22 "he will hunt down Robin because she is dangerous"
I wonder what will happen after this episode ..

 

I just got the first DVD of WHR, and I love it. I thought it would be slow and drag on at first, but it's very interesting. The gothic elements fit in and aren't overdone, and the character design for Robin is refreshingly unique.

Not to mention that I like Amon. Heh.

 

I'd like it a lot better if there wasn't that one strand of hair constantly running diagonally across her nose. Just once I'd like to see gravity assert itself. I'm only about 7 eps in and am still waiting to see what use her power could possibly be in a unit that doesn't kill the witches they track down. She's really going to have to perfect her 'frighten him to death by burning his shirtsleeve' technique. Someday I might watch the rest because I love black clothes. They are the epitome of cool.

 

I have heard really good things about it and I'm going to try and find it. I seen articles and some commercials and I love the way they did Robin and her apperance.

 

It's definitely a great anime, I just saw the first 3 episodes of it.

The artwork is awesome in its own great way, and the plot will eventually change after episode 8 and become much more interesting (or so what I heard). The characters, even in the early episodes, are pretty in-depth and 'human'.

One more thing: For me Cowboy Bebop has the best soundtrack. I'd say Witch Hunter Robin has the second best. Especially the opening theme, "Shell", is great,

 

Sry got to say you guys are way slow I saw that series ages ago I thought it was sweet ye "Toomaa" was right it does start getting really good after 14.

I quite like the first episodes though I won’t ruin it but the best episode has to be when she works out how to use "the ultimate magic" and she wastes that hunter guy.

I pulled an all nighter with my mate watching this series and I heavily recommend it to everyone (not the all nighter that was hellish

Well, I saw the first episode in my school's anime club. It was good.

 

You guys are lucky, because you could watch it on TV. :sad: I had to wait patiently till the whole series got downloaded. Anyway, the unpleasant part of downloading is that I couldn’t ask anyone about the ending, because no one from this board had seen it; However, time have passed ... so here is my question: what the heck was going on in the last scene of the finale???

In the last scene where they brought another witch hunter. Its like nothing had happened and they'll still continue to hunt down witches.

Fyi, Robin and Amon died in the fire. Argh I have to rewatch the episodes again, because I cant remember how it happened.

 

Yea i see what u mean but i dont think robin did die, i mean this is just me but do you remember the first episode it started off with that guy reading his horoscope and he goes "lucky colour black" and then robin comes wearing all black.

well i think that when he is saying that again at the end he is sorta saying that robin is still alive, well thats just my guess but what did you think??

damn man you guys dont know how lucky you are we have no shows aired in britain it sux i mean i have seen (or am half way through watching ) all of those series but you know its always nice to watch something on tv if you know what i mean

 

CN has different programming in different regions/countries. They've also got different licensing so a program may show in one country but not any others. Right now WHR is going to be shown on CN in the US, not sure about any other countries/regions
