    hey there poeple--------------

    i was just wondering if anyone has had the chance to watch a new anime which came out and produce by Bones inc..
    i heard the story was good but i havent seen it yet if you had the luck in watching it would you like to talk to me about it????:eek:

    (shouldn't this go in the anime forums?)

    But anyway, I've seen the first two episodes of Wolf's Rain. I don't remember much about the setting - like if it's supposed to be an earth sci-fi setting or more of a fantasy type, I'm not sure, but wolves are thought to have been extinct. Those that remain disguise themselves as human, though they are only human in appearance. I enjoyed what I saw and wouldn't mind seeing more of the series.

    One of the character looks like a young Spike. It is shinchiro wantanabe (spelling) i believe and it has a really cool story. I would do a google search for the review because my review might be the wrong point of view. loved it though.

    From what I have seen (only the first episode) the series looks interesting but I saw the episode more than two months ago so I can't give a review good or bad from that.

    http://www.saikou-fansubs.com are fansubbing wolfs rain and they have eps 1-9 available for download , with more being released as they are subbed.

    you have to register for free to dl them, but it doesn't take long and the dl's are pretty fast too.

    hey thanks alot guys.wow that pic that you said look liked a younger spike.lol it would be funny if it was true he looks just like i think a young spike would look but whats bad its not.and thankz for the site.are you a member of that site for the DL of wolfs rain..?

    i got the saikou fansubs which are beautiful. Gotta love the Steve Conte Stray intro song and Saikou does some really good fansubbing.

    Seems that Kanno actually pulled in the Seatbelts full cast again for this one. Including Steve Conte. She said that as soon as she saw the title that she knew that she'd want to do the music for it. Which is why Wolf's Rain has a pretty good amount of goodness in it. Also of mention, Sakamoto Maaya does the ending theme to the series...named "Gravity". It's one of her "in english" songs, and is also better known for doing most of the songs in Tenkuu no Escaflowne and voicing the main heroine in Hitomi.

    Saikou has up to episode 18 ready for download as we speak. However, I'm only done watching up to episode 4, but I like it. Along with the great soundtrack, there's some interesting stories in the anime. I personally like the sideplay between Cher and Herb (though I don't really understand why Saikou names him "Hubb") because it's kinda cute and oddly amusing. And it amuses me to no end that the one that looks like Spike is actually the comedian of the group. Hige, the character in question, is actually also "fat" (in major contrast to Spike) but is also the most laid back. The only seeming similarity in the two characters is the shape of the hair.

    PS (Edit): In case any of the readers of this isn't in the know...the Seatbelts is a band Yoko Kanno "made in 2053" with a "different sound". They made all of the music in Cowboy Bebop. ^_^ Kanno herself is a great composer, and is also known for her work in Macross Plus. ^_^

    Wolf's Rain is indeed a fun series. I'm greatly enjoying it, and I want more of it. Unfortunately, the last few episodes have consisted entirely of recap (and I have yet to see them, to boot). They've got summaries through episode 21 on the Japanese site, but since it's in Japanese I can't tell if they've actually gotten back to the story or not yet.

    The reason they're calling him Hubb is because that's the official spelling of his name. You can see it listed at wolfs-rain.com, which is the offical Japanese site. Just go to the characters section.

    I've watched the first 5 episodes and so far it has been good and intersting in a unique way. It's very different from the other animes, the idea of wolf's disguising as humans is interesting. I would recommended this series.

    I've seen eps 1-8 and I'm dieing to see the rest. Its one of the greatest animes ive seen so far and Im sure that the ending wouldnt be disappointing. Tsume is my favorite character! I always fall for the tough guys with the soft heart : sigh :
    The greatest mystery of this series isnt the paradise curse nor the location of paradise, but its: THE REASON BEHIND HUBB'S AND CHER'S DIVORCE???!?!? :p They gave a hint in ep 1 or 2 that it was cheza and that cher couldnt spend time with her husband, but that is a pathetic excuse for a divorce :mad:

    Seen up to eps 14, can't wait to copy the rest from tooma since it is licened now. I am kind of lost, but I need to see the rest to understand :p

    It's my video...how honored am I? It's a great series and i hope bandai does a good job on it like they did to Cowboy Bebop and i might actually watch the dub.

    Those that have seen Wolf's Rain may enjoy this . . .

    I cosplayed as Kiba at the last con I attended, a friend went as Tsume, and we ran into a Hige. We spent liberal amounts of time around the city taking a plethora of Wolf's Rain photos:

    I just saw the first two eps last night at a anime club i went to. I think it is incredible and i'm going to download it as soon as possible. Tsume and Hige are easily the coolest of the bunch. I love how Tsume looks like a bondage character.

    Could someone explain to me the ending??! And most importantly how could Tsume ride a motorbike if he's a wolf? :p
