    Ok, reverse the original question... which two characters would be the worst matchup in your opinion?

    Heeee, I shoulda seen this coming.

    Hm... worst SMJ couple... that's a tricky one... admitting to the fact that I've written a fan fic about this (Forgotten Among Lillies), I'd have to say that Hess/Faust would be the worst SMJ couple of all time. Then again in the fic they're not really a couple... just trust me, it's weird. Or Hess with anyone for that matter aside from (spoiler goes here for those of you who've seen J to X you know who I mean and those of you who haven't, I dun wanna spoil the end). Luchs and Cherry would be bad, too, as would of course the joke of this board, Tiger/Bloodberry... but lest you think I can only think of bad yaoi and yuri couples, I think the following straight couples wouldn't be well matched either: Marine and Otaru, Lorelei and Goddel, and Cherry and any one of her Japoness Hell Gang groupies.

    The topic is WORST couple, Ser!! I kind of think the Yume/Ko-ponta trick would actually make sense in a twisted sort of way...

    My vote goes for Faust and Hess. In fact, I cannot see Faust and Hess even as friends, let alone as lovers.

    True, Faust and Hess work together, and quite effectively at that, but IMHO it is obvious that each of them is simply using the other to future his own golas. Moreover, it seems that neither Fuast nor Hess has any illusions about their partnership; i.e. each of them seems to be fully aware that they are using each other. However, each of them seems to be fully content with such partnership for as long as the other is of any use to him.

    On the other hand, Goddel and Krabbensteiff are simply too hilarious as a couple to think of them as the “Worst Couple Ever!” I nearly die from laughter when I saw “Goddel/his Krabbensteiff” option in this poll! And besides, who knows, maybe Goddel was so cruel and evil in the series because he was traumatized by the death of the very first Krabbensteiff?

    As about “Hess/Anyone”, IMHO…
    …Hess loved his family very much. Hell, he spent 400 hundred years trying to get his revange on Earth and humankind for separating him from his family! If only somebody would write a Hess-centered fanfictional stories about Hess’ longing for his wife and his family…

    As about all others couples, even though all of them are highly unlikely, with some difficulty (and in a VERY alternative Saber Marionette J universe) you can imagine a couple like Bloodberry/Gennai (after failing to win Otaru’s heart in Program 06 of SMJ, Bloodberry started to get more and more fascinated with Gennai’s wonderful inventions…) or Cherry/Hanagata (after Otaru admits his love for Lime, heart-broken Cherry and Hanagata find comfort in each other’s arms…).

    No, my vote definately goes for Faust and Hess being the worst couple ever!
